Most would consider fruit or crackers as a substantial snack.

But it seems for Gwyneth Paltrow a liquid drink does the trick.

The 38-year-old actress has revealed that most of her favourite nibbles are mostly in beverage form, including coconut water and kale juice.

The mother-of-two revealed her super healthy eating plan in the latest issue of Self magazine, where the actress also flaunts her incredible bikini body on the front cover, and in an accompanying inside shoot.
For the women's magazine, the blonde beauty slips into several outfits for the series of photographs, including a skimpy turquoise bikini, a bold blue plunging mini-dress and a cute casual shirt and denim combination.
Gwyneth talks all things diet and working out in the accompanying interview with the publication.
When asked what her 'on-the-go' snack of choice is, the slim actress said she tries to avoid junk and drinks mainly liquids.

'Raw almonds with raisins, or coconut water, or I’ll make a juice with kale, lemon juice, water, Vitamix and a little agave,' she said.'I try to avoid barbeque potato chips. They’re my weakness.'
Gwyneth said she does indulge every once in a while, but then reins herself back in.
'I always eat right, but last night, I had fried clams, pasta with duck sausage and two glasses of red wine. When I want to lose, I eat less pasta, bread and potatoes. Before last year's Iron Man 2 premiere, I did green juices and salads for three days', she shared.

The Oscar-winning actress identifies her backside as being her problem area and that she and her trainer Tracey Anderson, have had to focus on it.

'My butt!  My butt, butt, butt. When Tracy met me, she said that I had a long, square butt that she was going to redesign, and I was, like, “Yeah?  Good luck,' she said.

'The amazing thing is, she was right!  And it’s still changing!'
In her cover issue, Gwyneth also reveals her gruelling workouts: 'I do 45 minutes of cardio five days a week, because I like to eat. I also try for 45 minutes of muscular structure work, which is toning, realigning and lengthening', she shared.

Gwyneth, who has been pictured looking amazing in array of slinky dresses and bikinis numerous times last month, says currently her body is in the best shape of it's life.

'Yes. I never thought that I’d be considered to have a good body.  I was bony up top and kind of dumpy on the bottom,' she said.

'But my trainer, Tracy Anderson, completely changed my legs, butt, arms and stomach.  I feel better than ever, too.'

But she says that she would never drive herself insane with workouts.

'I’ve found what works for me. I know if I put in an hour and a half, five days a week, I’m good.  If I’m on vacation and, like, “F--- it, I’m not working out,” I know what to do when I get back.  A lot of women think, “Oh, my God, I could never get there,” but I don’t think that’s true.  It’s simply relative to how much you put into it.'

Just days ago in an another interview, Gwyneth made it clear that it is not by chance that she has the amazing body she does.

'It's not an accident. It's not luck, it's not fairy dust, it's not good genes. It's killing myself for an hour and a half five days a week, but what I get out of it is relative to what I put into it.

'That's what I try to do in all areas of my life', the actress said at Good Housekeeping's Shine On Awards in New York this week.

Paltrow added: 'The reason that I can be 38 and have two kids and wear a bikini is because I work my [expletive] ass off.'

Today, Gwyneth continued to hit the promotional circuit to drum up sales for her new tome titled My Father's Daughter, which has recipes that she cooked with her father Bruce Paltrow growing up as well as some new family favourites.
The actress signed copies of her new book at Barnes & Noble in New York City.
The Oscar winner's cookbook is devoted to her beloved father who passed away in 2002.
She said of her father on the Good Morning America show yesterday: 'We would cuddle up on the couch and watch cooking programmes. It was another way to bond.'
Gwyneth may be a foodie now but she was once a once well-publicised macrobiotic dieter which she said she started to follow when her father was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998.

She thought she would try to heal her father by proxy and eliminated dairy, sugar, meat, liquor and gluten but she was unable to help her father.ultimately
But when she became pregnant with daughter Apple (now six years-old) a few years later she said: 'I could not eat a bowl of brown rice for love or money. I wanted grilled cheese and Baskin-Robbins Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream, and well, you can guess what won out.

'When my daughter started eating solid food, I went back to organic, whole foods. I still wonder if my father would be alive today if he had grown up eating healthier food', she questioned.
