First Look: Jennifer Lawrence in 'The Hunger Games'!
Jennifer Lawrence covers the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, and this is our first look at the Oscar nominee in character for her role in the highly anticipated film The Hunger Games.
The starlet will play 16-year-old heroine Katniss Everdeen in the screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ gory and violent trilogy.
When Lawrence was offered the role, she describes her response as a mixture of happiness and anxiety. “I knew that as soon as I said yes, my life would change,” she says. “And I walked around an entire day thinking ‘It’s not too late, I could still go back and do indies, I haven’t said yes yet, it’s not too late.’” But ultimately, the 20-year-old thespian decided that it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. “I love this story,” she says, “and if I had said no, I would regret it every day."
