Tyra Banks raised a few eyebrows, including her own, when she made an appearance on U.S. TV wearing a bizarre facial accessory.
The strange piece of jewellery sat above her left eye and made the model look as though she was a super hero who'd lost most of their mask.
Tyra, 36, was a guest on Good Morning America where she spoke about her forthcoming novel Modelland.

Raising eyebrows: The former supermodel explained that the gold wings are a 'smize' created within her forthcoming novel Modelland
But the first question from host Robin Roberts concerned the gold sparkling wing above her eye.
The America's Next Top Model presenter was quick to explain her bizarre look, saying it was inspired by her new book.
She told Robin: 'What's up with my eye? OK, so at Modelland, this fantasy world that I've created for my novel, if you find one of these, which I call a smize.
Studies: Tyra has enrolled at the Harvard Business School where she lives in dorms with other students
'It increases your chances of getting into the most exclusive school in the entire world, the school that creates the most amazing supermodels called Intoxibellas.
'It increases your chances by 91 percent. The models have magic in this school most definitely, so it's a totally fantasy adventure novel.'
It's not the first time Tyra has been seen with the smize on her face - earlier this week she appeared in a photoshoot to promote her new book, where she also wore the glittering eyepiece.
The former supermodel has been working on book, which is the first of a three-part series, for five years.

She is said to have developed carpal tunnel syndrome from constant typing while writing the book on her BlackBerry.
Later in her interview, Tyra told Robin Roberts that she wants to emulate the cultural phenomenon that was kickstarted by Walt Disney.
She explained: 'I look up to Walt Disney and what he has done. That's what I want to do for young women and women around the entire world.
Smile with your eyes: The model appeared in photos shot in various locations around New York
'And I feel like the message of empowering women and expanding the definition of beauty is bigger than me.
'I want years from now for people to be experiencing Modelland or whatever it is and for the mom to go, "You know that was a girl named Tyra who started that," and that girl is like, "Really? Who cares? Let's go on this ride!" or let's do this or let's read this book or watch this show.'
And to boost her chances of success with the book, which follows the adventures of four young women during their enrolment at an exclusive modeling school, Tyra is attending the Harvard Business School.
She's signed up for the Business School’s Executive Education Owner/President Management Program (OPM).
According to the tutor behind the course, Jacqueline Baugher, it usually attracts 'presidents and CEOs of companies with sales from anywhere between five million to several billion dollars'.
