Britney Spears and Jason Trawick are pulling out all the stops to celebrate their engagement.
The pair are holding a private gathering in Las Vegas with friends and family at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas tonight.
They are then expected to enjoy a big celebratory dinner at the Chocolate Lounge at the Sugar Factory in the Paris Hotel before carrying on the festivities at a dance party at the Chateau nightclub.
Of course, Vegas is familiar territory for the singer - it is where her 55 hour marriage to first husband Jason Alexander began and ended.

The Hollywood agent asked for the pop star's hand in marriage in Los Angeles yesterday on his 40th birthday.

'Yes, we are engaged,' Trawick told Access Hollywood today.

He is said to have presented her with a Neil Lane featuring a round three carat stone that features pave diamonds on the band.

'It's very traditional,' an insider tells Us Weekly.

'He picked out something he knew she would love.'

'He surprised her after she gave him his gifts and after they had cake last night,' another source adds.

The 30-year-old singer, who has just wrapped her Femme Fatale tour, hinted at the news this morning on her Twitter page.

'OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for,' she tweeted.

She then teased: 'Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited! Xxo.'

Sources told TMZ that her conservators gave marriage their stamp of approval.

He also did right by her father, Jamie Spears, by asking for his daughter's hand in marriage.

They will put a pre-nuptial agreement into effect before they tie the knot, according to sources.

Britney first started Jason in early 2009 following her tumultuous relationship with paparazzo Adnan Ghalib.

She says she 'made the first move' on Trawick, who was her then her agent.

He stepped down from that role in May this year.

They mixed business and pleasure again in September when she cast him to play her love interested in the video for her single Criminal.

'We're really normal,' Britney said of their relationship in March.

'We just like to watch movies. We work out a lot. We love to work out. We do stuff together like that. We take walks.'

He is also a father figure to her two sons, Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden James, 5.

'They look up to him so much - they adore him. He's their hero.'

This will be Britney's third marriage.

She wed childhood friend Jason Alexander, a childhood pal from her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, in January 2004.

Britney's love life has always been colourful - as a teenager she famously dated fellow former Mouseketeer and 'N Sync band member Justin Timberlake.

The pair split in March 2002 after a three-year romance that had fans and tabloids in a frenzy.

After they parted ways, Timberlake made reference to the pop star in the video clip to his hit, Cry Me a River.

The clip featured a Britney look-alike and the storyline fuelled rumours that she had cheated on him.

"[The breakup] was horrible,' Britney told People magazine.

'Very upsetting and it took a lot out of me. He was my first real love, and I doubt I'll ever be able to love anyone like that ever again.

'But I'd rather spend two days with my soulmate than the rest of my life with some guy who doesn't mean as much.'

The star, who was 22 at the time, filed annulment papers just 55 hours later.
Of the very brief union, she later said: 'It was me being silly, being rebellious, and not really taking the responsibility of what I was doing, you know? And after partying, you know, you really don't think about what you're doing.
'So it was one of those things that was really silly.'
Marriage No. 2: Just nine months after her hasty wedding to Alexander, Britney wed dancer Kevin Federline

Britney bares a whole lot of skin in risqué stage outfits as the Femme Fatale tour hits London

Britney Spears performed the first London concert of her UK tour last night- and the singer certainly made her presence felt.

Wearing a multitude of skimpy costumes, the 29-year-old paraded about the colourful stage showing off her stomach, legs, and as much else as she could get away with.

The singer bared a great deal of midriff throughout the show, at one point wearing only a pink sequined bikini top on her upper half, paired with the briefest of denim hot pants.

Still sporting a slightly curvier figure than she had earlier in her career, the Hold It Against Me star nevertheless looked well, and far fitter than she has in recent years.

Britney's panoply of costumes included a pink basque with black lace detail, which she initially covered with a long white skirt, only to rip it off, revealing fishnet-clad legs.

And whenever the singer donned a jacket - or in the case of an Egyptian-themed routine, a cape - it was swiftly removed to reveal as much as possible.

Another ensemble, intended to echo the ambiance of Ancient Egypt, consisted of a gold bikini with matching boots and a cape - which was naturally removed in short order.

Britney also donned a policewoman-style hat and black leather cropped waistcoat (still baring her stomach) for a saucy rendition of Rihanna's S&M - which she performed with the Barbadian at the Billboard Awards in April.

It was as though Britney had taken a few tips from the Umbrella star - who is famed for her risque stage outfits, since Britney's choices were every bit as revealing as any of Rihanna's.

The singer has taken to the UK with relish, and apparently made a few requests so as to feel more at home across the pond.

According to sources on the tour, Britney asked for portions of fish and chips and 100 figs and prunes.

Insiders have also claimed that the singer requested a photo of Princess Diana backstage at her UK gigs.

'Britney adores the monarchy, Diana was in many ways her inspiration. Also, she doesn't count calories when she's in Britain,' said the source.

Toothpaste and McDonald's cheeseburgers minus the bread rolls were also part of her rider before she performed at London's The O2 last night.

Britney has confessed in the past that she dreams of performing for Diana's son Prince William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge should they wish to watch her show while she is in the UK.

ADRIAN THRILLS REVIEWS BRITNEY SPEARS' FEMME FATALE TOUR

Britney Spears continued her transition from pop princess to dancefloor vamp as she played her first London concert in two years last night. Music's ultimate showgirl has had a troubled transition into adulthood since becoming the world's biggest-selling teenager 12 years ago, but she has recently got her career back on track, and this slickly choreographed spectacular confirmed her resurgence.

Like many other tours by female singers, her Femme Fatale show took its cue from every trek around the globe that Madonna has completed since 2001's Drowned World Tour. The concert was divided into five segments, each with its own special effects, dance routines and dramatic theme.

Despite reports of sluggish ticket sales elsewhere, the O2 was packed with young, mostly female fans as Britney made a Barbarella-like entrance bang on cue. As two giant screens parted like a pair of industrial doors, she strode onto a raised podium wearing a sequinned leotard. With the show's opening sequence based on a prison escape, she performed Hold It Against Me and Up N' Down while surrounded by dancers posing as truncheon-wielding American cops.

As the show moved on to a Marilyn Monroe-themed section, the silly Big Fat Bass was accompanied by Will I Am rapping along via a video link. The third act found Britney dressed as Cleopatra as her dancers gyrated around a Nile river boat, while the fourth section saw her kitted out as a motorcycle girl before a geisha-themed encore. With just one slow number in the whole show, the evening was dominated by shuddering dance music, with nine of its 20 songs from coming from the recent Femme Fatale album.

In her rush to the dancefloor, however, Britney risks forgetting her pop roots. Many of her new tracks, the turbo-charged Euro-disco of I Wanna Go being one, are blessed with strong, sing-along hooks, but there must have been some fans at the O2 who went home mildly dismayed not to have heard older, more innocent hits such as Oops! I Did It Again, Stronger and (You Drive Me) Crazy. At least she did debut single Baby One More Time, albeit as part of a medley alongside a cover of Rihanna's S&M.

What the show lacked, moreover, was soul. One doesn't, of course, go to see Britney expecting the kind of intimate confessionals that have punctuated recent concerts by George Michael and Adele. That has never been her style. But it was still disappointing to witness no real interaction between the singer and her fans beyond cheer-leading of the 'hello London!' variety. What we got was steely-eyed professionalism.

Then there was the perennial question of how much was actually live in the traditional sense. Spears has been accused of lip-synching in the past, and there is always a strong suspicion that concerts featuring so many energetic dance routines contain at least some pre-recorded vocals. When she performed that one ballad, Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know, she did appear to be singing. Elsewhere, it was harder to tell, especially as her voice was thickened by digital effects and then coated in a wall of electronic sound produced by her two keyboard players, the only musicians onstage throughout the show.

But it wasn't really Britney's vaulting vocal histrionics that her fans had come to hear. She has a decent pop voice with an attractive southern twang, but nothing more. What her fans did expect was an entertaining, fast-moving arena show. On that score, they weren't let down.

The Femme Fatale tour continues at the O2 Arena tonight (28 October) and runs until 6 November (livenation.co.uk).

Who needs a reality series when you can just make a music video?

Britney Spears and her boyfriend Jason Trawick have given her fans a steamy look at what goes on in their bedroom in the X-rated music video for her single Criminal.

The couple play a modern Bonnie and Clyde-style duo who play out their passions with little inhibition.

Spears, 29, had a reality show with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, but has simply combined her personal professional lives this time round by casting her man in her music video.

Britney previously invited her former agent turned boyfriend Trawick onstage and gave him a lap dance during a concert in August.

And now Jason is taking centre stage in her music videos. He plays a bad boy who Britney falls for after he saves her from her abusive boyfriend.

The relationship soon heats up, and fans are treated to a hot and heavy sex scene which sees Jason groping his scantily-clad girlfriend before the pair fall into bed.

Britney and Jason began dating in early 2010, going public with the romance in May. a spokesperson confirmed at the time that they had 'decided to end their professional relationship in order to focus on their personal one'.

Controversy: Hackney council, where the video was filmed, have complained that Spears' has glamourised violence in an area where the riots in august took place

Hackney council officials were angered in September when Spears filmed the video, which they deemed to be glamourising violence, in one of the hotspots of the August riots.

After pictures emerged of Spears escaping Stoke Newington Town Hall with a replica gun in hand, MPs voiced their anger that they had not been informed of the nature of the video when they agreed to filming taking place.

A council spokesman said at the time: ‘While the agreement was for anonymous use of Stoke Newington Town Hall, we did not agree a replica gun could be used. We are disappointed the film crew made a last-minute change to the scene.’ The production company has apologised, she added.

From flab to fab: Britney is back to her toned best in Moscow as vigorous Femme Fatale routines finally pay off

Britney has been gradually regaining form for weeks now, and tonight in Moscow, the blonde was back to her very best.

Looking lithe and toned in the revealing corsets she dons on stage, the 29-year-old hasn't even a hint of the paunch she sported at the start of the Femme Fatale tour.

The Hold it Against Me star kicked of the European leg of the extravaganza in St Petersburg, Russia, Thursday night to a rapturous response, though it was not sold out.

Undeterred, the mother-of-two has been trying to immerse herself in European culture.

Before her concert in Moscow, she decided to visit the Salvador Dali exhibition in the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.

But with 70 million albums underneath her often rhinestone-encrusted belt, she says she doesn't need to persuade anyone to buy into the music.

She said: 'I don't really have anything to prove at this point. I just do it for fun and see what happens.

'I have a good group of people around me. We have the show at a certain time every night. And we just try to stay consistent on having a routine and staying fit and healthy.'

'The show is really fun for me, it's one of the most entertaining shows that I've ever done.

There are six or seven costume changes, the dancers are just on fire and it's a lot of fun. It's a fun show.'

The singer will hit the big 30 in December, but isn't concerned about leaving her often troubled twenties behind.

She told the Associated Press: 'I hear the older you get, the wiser you get and the more you know what you want. Hopefully it'll be a good year.'

And she had some advice she'd give to any pop wannabes.

'I would probably say just have fun, take it slow, don’t go too fast,' she warned. 'Make sure you treasure the moments.'

After her failed marriages, Britney is now in a happy relationship with William Morris agent Jason Trawick.

'I am in a very good place, I am busy, I am doing what I love, my family is great,' she added. 'I am finding my whole click with life.'

The birthday comes during the South American leg of shows, so she's planning a suitably exotic celebration.

'Hopefully me and the dancers will get together and do something really spectacular.'
