Not such a dirty 30 then? Kimberley Walsh looks remarkably fresh-faced after she leaves her landmark birthday party

Celebrating her landmark 30th birthday, pop star Kimberley Walsh could be forgiven for going wild.

But it appears the Girls Aloud singer isn't quite the party animal she once was and looked remarkably fresh-faced and perky as she headed home from her own party.

Joined by long-term boyfriend Justin Scott and bandmate Nicola Roberts, the Yorkshire lass looked stunning in a strapless nude prom dress as she partied at the Westbury Hotel in London's Mayfair.

But perhaps after weeks of treading the boards in Shrek: The Musical on a nightly basis, perhaps Walsh wanted to take things easy.

Although leopard-print Roberts, 26, attended with boyfriend Charlie Fennell, the rest of Walsh's Girls Aloud bandmates were noticeably absent.

Cheryl Cole, 28, was originally expected to attend, but is currently ill with pharyngitis.

Roberts was clearly excited about the bash, tweeting: 'It's Saturday night and Kimba has a killer party planned.. Who else is letting go tonight?'

Later at the party, she uploaded a photo of herself dancing with the birthday girl, writing: 'I love you Kimberley.'

Also in attendance was TV presenter/actress Denise Van Outen and her husband Lee Mead.

Van Outen had clearly enjoyed a rare date night out with her husband, while a friend looked after their one-year-old baby Betsy.

She tweeted: 'Just got home from a fab party to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday. Had a right ol' boogie. Woo hoo!!

Van Outen famously grew close to Walsh when they hiked Mount Kilimanjaro for charity in March 2009.

Other celebrity guests included magican Dynamo, ex-Sugababe Keisha Buchanan and Walsh's Shrek: The Musical co-stars.

Buchanan - who duetted with Girls Aloud in 2007 - tweeted: 'I'm at Kimberley Walsh's bday party getting downnnn low low low haha.'

At one point in the evening, the music was turned down as Walsh cut her five-tiered birthday cake, before being presented with a gift by Roberts.

Walsh's big birthday bash comes three days after her bandmate Harding also turned 30.

However, after recently checking out of rehab and breaking up with her fiancé Tom Crane, Harding had a low-key birthday.

And the prize for the best costume goes to... Celebrities show off their Halloween creations on Twitter

By Emily Sheridan

Over the past few years, increasing amount of celebrities have been turning to Twitter to give themselves a voice and self-publicise.

So when it came to Halloween, what better way for the stars to show off their creativity than to upload their costumes on the micro-blogging site.

Celebrities from the A-list to the Z-list couldn't wait to show off their handiwork as they prepared to celebrate the spooky holiday.

While British celebrities were more traditional when it came to costumes and stuck to the horror theme, Americans dressed in a wide variety of ensembles.

In Hollywood, it was reunion for former Disney stars as Zac Efron and Miley Cyrus attended sisters Amanda and Alyson Michalka' Halloween party.

High School Musical heart-throb Efron wore a very tight pair of shorts as he dressed as a Reno 911 police officer.

Although it wasn't clear exactly what Cyrus had dressed as, she certainly made an impression with her make-up and low-cut top.
Country singer LeAnn Rimes dressed as a 'trailer trash' chain-smoking pregnant bride, while Glee star Lea Michele certainly went to a lot of effort as the Swan Queen from Swan Lake.
The actress looked straight out of the National Ballet in her tutu, tights and feathered headdress.

Hopefully Jennifer Lopez was flattered when reality star-turned-fashion designer Nicole Richie dressed as the multi-hyphenate Latina star.

The mother-of-two looked a dead-ringer for J.Lo in a pink velour tracksuit, aviator shades, big hoop earrings and a 'Croydon facelift' ponytail as she attended Kate Hudson's Halloween party in Los Angeles.

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara showed her fun side and steered away from a sexy ensemble in favour of an Angry Birds costume.

Unfortunately, some celebrities' costumes weren't so original.
Newly-single Kim Kardashian and dancer/actress Julianne Hough both dressed as Batman comics villain Poison Ivy.

Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna spiced things up by posing naked with two Hallowe'en cakes.
TV presenter Denise Van Outen rolled back the years by dressing as a spooky little girl for a party at Maggie's Club in London.

A tale of two dresses: Alexandra Burke opts for a couple of very different outfits as she celebrates her 23rd birthday

She seems to have been around forever, yet Alexandra Burke has only just turned 23.

The singer, who won the X Factor in 2008, hit Gilgamesh in Camden, north London to celebrate reaching another year of her life.

And she opted to wear two very different outfits for the night out, which was attended by several of her celebrity friends.

She started out wearing a fitted mini dress, in charcoal grey matched with a pair of cream heels at the event which was sponsored by Ciroc vodka.
It was a regulation outfit for Alexandra who is often seen wearing short dresses to accentuate her toned legs.
Later in the night, however, she changed into a Grecian-inspired white floor-length gown.

The floor-skimming number looked great, oozing class and sex appeal - matched with a lush new hairstyle complete with blonde highlights.

Guests at the party included TV and radio host Denise Van Outen, TOWIE star Lauren Pope, Amy Winehouse's niece Dionne Bromfield, One Direction and rapper Chipmunk.

Denise helped celebrate the singer's birthday with a surprise appearance, popping out on stage to sing Happy Birthday to her in front of the whole club.

Alex then took the mic and thanked the crowd, before she jumped off the stage while 50 Cent's In Da Club birthday anthem was played.
She then disappeared for a quick change.
When she returned in her white number she was presented with not one or two cupcakes, but a whole stack of cakes of varying sizes.
Finally her birthday cake came in the form of a giant cupcake with sparklers attached in the place of candles.

Elsewhere at the party One Direction member Harry Styles confessed that he had brought his older sister along as it was far less hassle than organising a date for the night.
Louis Tomlinson admitted that he was definitely the wild one of the group and was so far absolutely loving their time in the spotlight.
And rap star Chipmunk was also spotted giving the boys some girl advice as he passed them on his way to the bar.

Surrounded by family and friends, Alexandra couldn't have looked happier at the birthday celebrations.

Meanwhile, a reveler at the bash has spoken exclusively to the MailOnline to reveal that rap star Chipmunk exchanged numbers with recently-single TOWIE star Lauren Pope.

The 20-year-old has already revealed his fondness for the former page-3 girl, after tweeting that he thought she was 'fit'.

According to an onlooker at the party, the Champion rapper made a beeline for Lauren, who looked great in a grey bandage dress, at the bash and was soon getting flirty with her.

The source said: 'Chipmunk seemed very keen on Lauren. Obviously now she's single she's been getting lots of attention.

'I saw him take her phone and put his number into it. Although Lauren didn't seem as keen as he was.'

Planning on getting a potters' wheel? Rochelle Wiseman looking all-white in tight bandage dress on romantic night out with Marvin at Ghost The Musical premiere

They're one of the most loved-up couples in showbiz - so no-one was spooked when The Saturdays star Rochelle Wiseman and her JLS singer boyfriend Marvin Humes arrived at the West End premiere of Ghost tonight.

The classic 1990 love story starring Demi Moore and the late Patrick Swayze has been made into a musical and opened last night at London's Piccadilly Theatre with former Corrie star Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy in the lead roles.

For her romantic night out with her beau, 22-year-old Rochelle was looking stunning in a tight white bandage minidress with an elaborate turquoise necklace, with towering black heels and a bright red handbag.

Scroll down to see the famous 'pottery scene' from Ghost...

Marvin, 26, meanwhile looked dapper in a quirky three piece stone grey checked suit with deliberatly darker trousers and a tight white T-shirt.

The pair were accompanied by Marvin's bandmate Jonathan 'JB' Gill and his longterm girlfriend Chloe Tangney - and gooseberry for the night, Aston Merrygold.

Other stars out to see the West End version of the movie included Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh who was beaming broadly as she clutched her programme, looking very smart in a black trouser suit with a a white T-shirt and black peeptoe Louboutins.

Denise Van Outen had also opted for black with a pretty ruffle-sleeve top paired with dark skinny jeans and snakeskin print sandals.

So You Think You Can Dance judge Arlene Phillips was also feeling the dark side in a black dress with a pleated skirt, teamed with a black gold studded leather jacket, black tights and patent heels.

It wasn't just the women flocking to see the famous weepy either - boy band McFly had turned up to see the production too.

The London stage version - like the movie - tells the story of Sam and Molly, a couple who are deeply in love, but who's lives are ripped apart when Sam is murdered in a mugging gone wrong.

But his love for Molly is so strong, he finds himself trapped as a ghost - but realises that his death was no accident and he must warn Molly about the imminent danger she's in.

However, because he's a ghost, he can't be seen or heard by the living, so he tries to communicate with Molly through Oda Mae Brown, a psychic, played by Whoopi Goldberg.

The movie features the famous pottery scene, where Molly is trying to make a pot on a wheel with Sam sat behind her - but they get too amorous and covered in clay instead, as the Righteous Brothers Unchained Melody plays.

It also has a running catchphrase though it, with Sam always replying 'ditto' when Molly says she loves him and vice versa.

But when he becomes a ghost, he can't be seen or heard by the living, and so he tries to communicate with Molly through Oda Mae Brown, a psychic who didn't even realise that her powers were real.

Ghost The Musical had its world premiere in Manchester in March and naturally, Unchained Melody features, with other original music written by Eurythmics star Dave Stewart.

It's being directed by Tony Award-winning director Matthew Warchus, with set and costume design by Rob Howell and choreography by Ashley Wallen.

Meanwhile, it's been revealed that Marvin is planning on proposing to Rochelle.

Marvin and Rochelle split last year after eight months together but gave their love a second chance after a two-month separation.

Since reuniting their relationship has gone from strength to strength and the singing couple have even moved back in together.

This week's Heat magazine said that Marvin had already paid a visit to upmarket jewellers Tiffany ahead of getting down on one knee.
