Miley Cyrus puts 'dope-smoking' controversy behind her stealing the spotlight in plunging yellow gown

Just over a week ago she was fighting off controversy after joking she was a 'stoner' at her birthday party.

But if Miley Cyrus was affected by the uproar surrounding her 'gag' about smoking marijuana, she managed to put on a brave front at a charity event in Los Angeles last night.

The Hannah Montana star, who recently turned 19, looked all grown up as she slipped into a daring yellow gown for the CNN Heroes Awards Ceremony.

Grinning like a Cheshire cat she showed off plenty of cleavage and décolletage in the silky canary yellow ensemble with pleated bust and embellished detailing.
She accessorised with a dripping of diamonds, including chandelier earrings and tennis bracelet.
But the singer and actress also showed a hint of her renowned bohemian side, by wearing her hair in a casual fish-tail plait.

One of the reasons she looked so cheerful could have been the fact that she was on the arm of her hunky boyfriend Liam Hemsworth at the star-studded event.

The 21-year-old Australian actor looked dapper as he escorted her to the prestigious ceremony.

With his arm wrapped around his ladylove's waist, the couple posed for several pictures as they made their way down the red-carpet.

Most people choose to dress up as the most terrifying, ghoulish characters they can think of to celebrate Halloween.

But last night Gwen Stefani decided to channel her inner little girl as she arrived for a spooky party at the Beverly Wilshire hotel dressed up to the nines as Disney's Cinderella.

The 42-year-old singer donned a blue satin gown, white elbow-length gloves and piled her blonde hair on top of her head as she went all out for the occasion.

Mother-of-two Gwen teamed the dress with several beaded necklaces, a diamante tiara and feathered handbag.

Gwen was joined by fellow celebrities including Jessica Alba as she arrived for the event, believed to have been hosted by Hollywood actress Kate Hudson and her rock star fiancé Matt Bellamy.
