A controversial Pakistani actress has been forced to deny posing naked for the India edition of FHM sporting a tattoo of the initials 'ISI' on her arm.

Veena Malik appears topless on the front of the December issue of FHM India, sparking outrage among conservatives in Pakistan - both for her nudity and the reference to Pakistan's intelligence agency.

But Miss Malik has strongly denied posing for the lads' mag, with the 33-year-old star insisting the picture had been 'morphed'.

'I have never posed nude. I have never done anything like that ever. My manager and legal team is looking into the matter. We will take legal action against them,' Miss Malik told PTI, the Indian press agency.

FHM India's editor, Kabeer Sharma, insisted however that nothing had been doctored, and claimed that the magazine could prove the photo's authenticity.

Mr Sharma told the BBC: 'We have video footage of the shoot as well as emails from Veena about how she's looking forward to the cover.'

The image was revealed on FHM India's website, Facebook page and Twitter account simultaneously today.

The revealing picture shows shows Miss Malik nude, with her arms and one leg positioned to conceal her breasts and pubic area.

On her arm are emblazoned the initials 'ISI' - the acronym for Pakistan's feared Inter-Services Intelligence agency - with the tag line, 'hand in the end of the world too?'

Mr Sharma said the reference to Pakistani intelligence was meant to be light-hearted, saying: 'In India we joke about this... if anything goes wrong... we say the ISI must be behind this.'

Miss Malik is no stranger to controversy. In January she attacked attacked hardline clerics in Pakistan who demand modest Muslims should be suitably covered at all times.

'If a woman is cool with wearing a burqa, she should wear a burqa. If a woman, being a Muslim, wants to wear jeans, then she should wear jeans,' she said in an interview with The Australian newspaper.

She also launched a stringent attack on honour killings, highlighting that women were always the target and not men.

'Have you ever heard that they've thrown acid in a guy's face in Pakistan?,' she asked.

After making her name has a star in 'Lollywood' movies - the term used to describe films made in Lahore - she found greater fame when she took part in Big Boss 4, the Indian version of Big Brother, last year.

Dressed in shorts and seen hugging actor Ashmit Patel as well as swimming with Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, she was accused of behaving improperly by some Muslim clerics.

Miss Malik has also been accused of being a porn star. However, her refreshingly outspoken views have won her many fans from Pakistan's younger and more liberal circles.

Confronted about her 'immoral' behaviour by cleric Mufti Abdul Qawi on a TV talk show, she snapped back that the country had far more important things to consider - including the rape of children in mosques.

'I’m a Muslim woman, and I know my limits,' she shouted back. The mufti appeared to be too astounded to respond.

The actress, who plays lesbian Santana Lopez on the show, smoulders in the snaps for FHM magazine in blue and white knickers and a grey jumper.

Speaking about her storylines with co-star Heather Morris (Brittany S. Pierce), she told the magazine: "The reaction has been overwhelming. I've had tons of mail from fans about how my storyline enabled them to come out."
And talking about posing for the shoot, Naya added: "I had such a blast and all of the outfits were great as they fitted with my laidback style.
"Although I love the Cinderella moments of dressing up for premieres and award shows – at home I can mostly be found wearing cute T-shirts and jeans."
Naya stars in the third series of Glee, which airs every Thursday at 9pm on Sky 1.

Well, it's not actually a video. It's a flipbook-style composite of over 2,000 pictures that were taken of her by Michael Creagh, who we reckon needs to have some kind of honorary Prophet status for alerting us to Melanie's presence.

Yasmin isn’t just your average hot girl DJ on the decks pointing her finger in the air, no siree. As if DJing wasn’t enough of a talent she’s quickly becoming THE solo artist to watch. She’s had an absolute whopper of a year collaborating with big dogs like Labrinth, Chase and Status and Devlin and now she’s only bloody nominated for MOBO. We tracked her down right before she played the Guinness Arthur’s Day stage to talk about cheap noodles, puking and partying with Example.

So you got your first gig by you know, just phoning up Pharrell right?
Not quite. N.E.R.D were doing a show in London and I saw the advert in the paper. It had an the name of the concert promoters so I called them and said ‘is there any support act for the N.E.R.D concert?’ They said no, and I said that I’d love to warm up the crowd for N.E.R.D and they said ‘yeah cool’, send over a mix tape. So I sent them one and that was it. Pretty lucky.

Nothing like that has ever happened to us. Is Pharrell a God like we imagine?
Yeah, he’s a lovely guy, a really nice bloke. He’s really talented, very suave, very stylish. It’s weird though, he just looks so youthful all the time I have no idea how old he is.

What do you do if you’re mooching about at home?
If I’m having a lazy day I’d listen to Ed Sheeran’s album and some Frank Ocean. I’m obsessed with TV series. I just go plough through one after the other. Right now I’m ripping through The Wire. If I watch telly it’s usually Girls of the Playboy Mansion and other car crash telly. I usually just stuff my face with those 6p noodles from Tesco. They’re the best, so cheap!

Who’s the most fun to hang out with in the ‘biz’?
Example for sure. I toured with him in Ibiza. We’re like a little family. Also that guy knows how to party. We’d go to strip clubs in Ibiza. In our complex all the bands were together and we were just ransacking the place. Emptying everyone’s minibars, we all jumped in the pool at 6 in the morning. It’s always a crazy party when Example’s around.

You grew up in Glasgow, have you ever eaten a battered Mars bar?
No, I once tried a piece of deep fried pizza and it was disgusting. Every time I burped the next day it smelt like grease.

What’s the longest you’ve ever stayed up?
I’ve done like, about up to 48 hours but I need sleep, if I don’t sleep I just spew.

That's weird. Have you done that?
Yeah, once I was in the studio with Labrinth making a song on my album called Told You So. But the next day was with Lab [rinth] and I couldn’t move the session. I was so pooped I fell asleep on the couch for about 3 hours, woke up at and was like ‘uh oh.’ I ran out the studio but didn’t make it and spewed red bile sick everywhere. I was so embarrassed.

What was your first ever CD?
It wasn’t cool. It was the Greatest Dance Album In The World Ever Part One. There were all these dance remixes of Eternal and Louise Redknapp. Sorry, it was just Louise back then. The Spice girls, Shaggy. Amazing.

Were you cool in school?
Yeah, I was cool.

Who would you most like to work with?
I’d love to work with Kanye West, I love him. I’d love to have him rap on the track, but I’d kinda like him to produce a track for me. He’s definitely got his finger on the pulse. He’s a really good producer. I actually got to actually hear Watch the Throne before it came out, because he was blaring it out in his dressing room at the Big Chill. I was like oh my Gooooood, is that what we think it is. I am so blessed.

Are you a loner or a team player?
I’m actually quite a loner sometimes in general. The amount of times I just sit and have lunch on my own. I think having lunch on your own is one of the most depressing things in life. You know before I started making music, when I was DJing, I did everything on my own. I’ve never had those groupie friends who you drag to your gig and are just massive spongers.

What, dickheads?
Yeah dickheads.
 
What do your mates think of all the fame stuff?
I never had a little posse but I’m not a me me me me person. I like to see everybody win. That’s why I like this scene in the UK at the moment, where everyone like Ed [Sheeran] and Lab [rinth] and everyone is hanging out together. It makes me happy when everyone’s having number ones, it's never jealousy or bitterness.
Aaaaah.

If there’s one thing you can rely on Selena Gomez to do, it’s look fantastic at all times. She’s quite the catch, which is why that Bieber sprog should seriously start counting his blessings. The other thing you can count on her to do is sing songs.

That is her job, after all – when she’s not acting in films, of course – so that’s a fair enough thing to rely on her for. It’s not we’re relying on her to help us move, or to bring us piping hot Thai cuisine at a moment’s notice, or to properly design bridges in our towns and cities. That would be unfair – we’ve got burly mates, Thai chefs, and civil engineers for that.
We’re glad we’ve got that settled. Where was Selena Gomez singing songs? A place called Clarkston in Michigan. Fascinating, we know. Here are some ‘interesting’ facts about Clarkson Michigan:
