Flawless and fabulous: Kate Beckinsale's elegant start to the new year in sophisticated Harper's Bazaar Arabia shoot

She's already appeared on the cover of two other magazines this month so it was only a matter of time before she did a third.

Kate Beckinsale looks sensational on the front of the January 2012 issue of Harper's Bazaar Arabia which is on sale at the beginning on next month.

Draped in designer clothes, the shoot is grown up and sophisticated as the 38-year-old actress shows off her natural beauty.

Wearing a dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 Ralph Lauren collection, Kate looks flawless on the cover of the monthly magazine.
With her brunette hair tied back in a loose style, the mother-of-one can be seen clutching at the pale blue dress as she stares into the camera.
In another image, photographer John Russo shoots the actress in a white Grecian-style dress that drapes the floor.

Beckinsale is stood by a fireplace filled with candles that is overlooked by a large mirror on the wall.

Rather than look at the camera, in another shot she can be seen gazing at the floor.

Another image sees her posing on a sofa in front of several vases filled with flowers.

In this photograph, Beckinsale wears a green pink and white strapless gown that ties at the side of her chest in a large knot.

The Underworld star obviously oozes confidence in front of the camera and recently revealed that she would consider going naked in a future film.

'I'm not averse to doing a nude scene, but it would have to be something I felt I could really argue in front of my daughter, and so far that hasn't happened,' she told Redbook magazine.

Beckinsale currently has two films in post-production: Underworld: Awakening and Total Recall.

Both movies are directed by her husband Len Wiseman whom she married back in 2004.

The full feature is in the new issue of Harper's Bazaar Arabia, on sale on January 2.

Flaunt it! Kate Beckinsale shows off her endlessly long legs in hotpants and boots on sexy cover

She's widely considered to be one of the sexiest actresses in the world.

And Kate Beckinsale proved exactly how she has earned herself that reputation as she showed off her incredible figure on the cover of Flaunt magazine.

The 38-year-old actress dons a tiny pair of hotpants and sexy knee-high boots for the cover, displaying her endlessly long legs in the alluring outfit.

Kate teamed the shorts with a furry jacket and tousled brown hair for the shot.

Meanwhile, in the publication, Kate says that while some of her bigger budget movies, such as Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman, have performed less than successfully at the box offices, she doesn't regret signing up for them.

She said: 'Basically, the really big movies that I have done that suck, have, for me, turned out at various crisis points in my life where I think, "S**t, I need to make sure I can take care of my kid."

Movie flop: Kate said in the interview she doesn't regret starring in big money movies such as Van Helsing because they paid the bills

'As simple as that. You know, it’s a weird thing that your hobby, the thing you feel great about, is also the thing that makes you go, "Okay, well, I have to be able to pay a mortgage bill."

'It shouldn’t be the case. The bottom line is that will happen sometimes.'

Mother-of-one Kate can next be seen starring alongside Colin Farrell and Jessica Biel in a remake of the hit nineties action movie Total Recall.

She said of the film: 'I do think it’s a shame that it’s hard for directors to get an original idea that wasn’t a comic or wasn’t a remake or wasn’t a game or something.

'I think it’s very frustrating for directors in general and actors. You’re constantly finding yourself having to defend doing a remake when you didn’t really want to make one in the first place.'

The full interview with Kate appears in the current issue of Flaunt magazine.

Kate Beckinsale earned herself a best dressed nod as she arrived to announced the Independent Spirit Award nominations in Hollywood today.

The 38-year-old actress, who has a daughter Lily, 12, with ex Michael Sheen, cut a stylish figure as she posed in a thigh-skimming lace dress and nude heels.

She joined actor Anthony Mackie and organiser Sean McManus at The London hotel for the early morning event.

The British actress, who is married to director Len Wiseman, will next star in Underworld Awakening the latest installment of her big budget action franchise, but today took time out to lend her support to independent film.

Beckinsale revealed that silent movie The Artist and the doomsday drama Take Shelter were both up for five nominations each, including best picture.

Also in the running for best picture were the cancer tale 50/50, the action thriller Drive and the family dramas Beginners and The Descendants.

A black-and-white throwback to early Hollywood, The Artist also earned a lead-actor nomination for Jean Dujardin as a silent film star whose career crumbles as the sound era takes over in the late 1920s.

The film grabbed directing and screenplay nominations for Michel Hazanavicius, along with a cinematography slot for Guillaume Schiffman.

Take Shelter star Michael Shannon earned a lead-actor nomination as a family man who comes unhinged amid visions of a coming apocalyptic storm.

Co-star Jessica Chastain was nominated for supporting actress, while Take Shelter also received nominations for director Jeff Nichols and a prize for emerging producers for Sophia Lin.

Presented by the cinema group Film Independent, the Spirit Awards will be handed out the day before the Academy Awards, at an afternoon ceremony on Feb. 25. The show will air later that night on IFC.

The Spirit Awards nominations are one of the first key honours on the long road to the Oscars, which often are dominated by big Hollywood films but generally include many nominees from the independent film world.

Last season's top winner at the Spirit Awards, Black Swan, also was a hit with Academy voters, earning a best-picture nomination there and winning the best-actress Oscar for Natalie Portman.

Notably absent from the Spirit Awards lineup was Academy Award winner George Clooney, considered a strong prospect for a best-actor nomination at the Oscars for The Descendants.

Like Crazy, the top winner at last January's Sundance Film Festival, was completely overlooked, receiving no nominations.

The stars of Woody Allen's romantic fantasy Midnight in Paris - among them Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Oscar winners Marion Cotillard and Kathy Bates - missed out, too. But their relatively unknown co-star, Corey Stoll, picked up a supporting-actor nomination for his scene-stealing role as Ernest Hemingway.

Clooney's young co-star Shailene Woodley, who plays his daughter in The Descendants, earned a supporting-actress slot.

Nominees in the supporting categories included Christopher Plummer for Beginners, Oscar winner Anjelica Huston for 50/50, Albert Brooks for Drive and John Hawkes for Martha Marcy May Marlene, who won the supporting-actor prize at last season's Spirit Awards for Winter's Bone.

Along with Hazanavicius and Nichols, directing nominees were Mike Mills for Beginners, Alexander Payne for The Descendants and Nicolas Winding Refn for Drive.

Spirit Awards nominees were chosen by panels of film professionals. Members of Film Independent, who include filmmakers and movie fans, are eligible to vote on the winners.

Eligible films must have production budgets of no more than $20 million and meet independent-cinema criteria that include uniqueness of vision and original, provocative subject matter.

Kate Beckinsale back in leather returns as Selene in stunning new shoot

The vamp(ire) is back: Kate Beckinsale celebrates her return to the big screen as Selene in stunning new shoot

By Andrea Magrath

Last updated at 12:11 PM on 24th November 2011

She's been off the big screen for over a year now, but Kate Beckinsale is about to be back with a vengeance.

The English beauty, 38, has four new films in the pipeline, the first of which is Underworld: Awakening.

'I've been away for a whole year,' she told Flaunt magazine in a new interview and smouldering photoshoot to promote the film. 'It's been great. I didn't find anything I wanted to do enough to take me away from my kid.'

Her husband, director Len Wiseman, was able to convince her to slip back into the leather catsuit to reprise her role as vampire warrior Selene in the Underworld franchise.

In a stunning black and white shoot, Beckinsale reclines on a lion's head rug in a bejewelled swimsuit, and dons hotpants and a pair of knee-high boots.

She has teamed up with her husband again for the action film, but reveals to the magazine that after they've clocked off for the day, it is all fun and games at home.

A self-confessed prankster, Kate says: 'Poor Len. He puts up with a lot. That poor guy does not come home without somebody dropping off the top of a wardrobe at this head.

'When he goes to sleep, there was a whole period of time when I was gluing beards to his face, and moustaches, and bullet holes in his head. I love that kind of stuff.'

After Underworld the actress will also be seen in Contraband, opposite Mark Wahlberg, and the Total Recall remake.

Despite starring in the big-budget latter, which is also directed by Wiseman, Kate gives a surprisingly frank estimation of the influx of remakes in cinemas right now.

'I do think it's a shame that it's hard for directors to get an original idea that wasn't a comic or a remake or wasn't a game or something,' she says. 'I think it's very frustrating for directors in general and actors.

'You're constantly finding yourself having to defend doing a remake when you didn't really want to do one in the first place. If it was up to you, you would be doing your own original sci-fi.'

She certainly didn't mind making another Underworld film though, even if she was in kept in the dark about plans despite being married to the director.

Speaking to Total Film recently, she said: 'I genuinely thought there wouldn’t be another one.

'I’m so obedient and gullible and they said it’s always going to be a trilogy, so when people would ask me if I’m doing another I would always say, "No, there’s not going to be another."

'Plus, I was concerned about how a fourth one for me could be interesting, how it could be different – and the storyline they’ve come up with was really interesting to me.'

English actress Kate Beckinsale is fast approaching 40.

But as these pictures show, the Pearl Harbor star has the body that could make a woman half her age turn green with envy.

Kate, 38, put her stunning figure on show in a black bikini while lapping up the sunshine in Mexico with her husband Len Wiseman.

Lucky Len was treated to an impromptu poolside performance from Kate as she stood up to fix her long brunette locks into a tight bun.

And he was apparently quite enamoured by the view as he happily took snaps of his wife on his phone.

The couple, who met on the set of Underworld, then enjoyed smooching together on the sun loungers.

Kate climbed on top of Len, showering him with kisses, as he willingly reciprocated with a hands-on approach.

Beckinsale relocated to Los Angeles in 2003 with Wiseman, before marrying him the following year.

Sneak peek: Kate Beckinsale strips down for futuristic nude scene in the new trailer for fourth Underworld film

By Daily Mail Reporter

She may be nearing her 40th birthday but Kate Beckinsale clearly had no qualms about stripping down for a scene for the new Underworld film.

A new trailer shows the lying down naked in a futuristic setting in Underworld: Awakenings.

The actress reprises her role as vampire Selene in the fourth instalment of the sci-fi franchise.

The fourth film is produced by her husband Len Wiseman, who directed the first two Underworld films.

It begins with Selene breaking free after being held in a coma-like state for 12 years.

Selene escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of vampires and Lycans (half werewolf, half human) are are conducting a war against both species in order to eradicate them.

Much of the trailer shows Kate in her trademark leather catsuit and bright blue contact lenses in full on action mode as she embarks on the 'new war'.
She engages in hand to hand combat against her attackers, performs a few supernatural acrobatic stunts, flees from explosions and faces up against a rather ferocious looking monster.
The film sees a return for Kate after five years away from the franchise - she did not feature in the third Underworld film, a prequel to the first two movies.

And the actress recently revealed she was unsure about taking part in a fourth instalment.

'Initially, it was conceived as a trilogy, and the third one was always going to be a prequel where I wasn’t born,' she recently told Collider.com.
'Like everybody, I and Len [Wiseman] and most people who are sensible, have a slight allergy to the number four coming after a movie title because it usually means it’s s***.

'But lately, there have been some movies that have actually taken it somewhere else. I guess we’re in a very different climate now.'

But the star isn't sure she can fit into that clinging catsuit for another movie.

'I don’t know how long it’s seemly to rush about in that outfit,' she told the website. 'They’d have to do it quite quickly. Otherwise, it would be sad.'

Farrell's description of his character's arc echoes what the actor has experienced in his own life: 'I loved the idea of a man journeying from being a man in a deep, deep slumber to consciousness,' he said.

He described his character's battle in the film as one between the intellectual and the emotional.

Director Wiseman said that while his version is totally different from the first film, it also draws from the original source material: Philip K. Dick's story 'We Can Remember It For You Wholesale.'

Besides Farrell, the film stars Bryan Cranston, Bill Nighy and John Cho. It is set for release next summer.
