Bumping along nicely: Angellica Bell looks blooming in purple as she joins husband Michael Underwood at WellChild Awards

She's been keeping a low profile since announcing she was expecting her first child in June.

But last night TV presenter Anjellica Bell showed just how well pregnancy was suiting her as she attended the WellChild Awards.

The former CBBC star, 35, showed off her baby bump in a purple Tiffany Rose dress as she joined her husband Michael Underwood at the Intercontinental Hotel in London.

Coincidentally, it looked like Bell had co-ordinated her outfit to the event's colour theme as she posed up beside balloons the same colour as her dress and heels.

Ahead of the event, Bell admitted she nervous about showing off her bump on the red carpet for the first time.

She tweeted: 'Time to get ready for the WellChild Awards tonight. Not sure what to wear. Haven't been to an event with the bump yet!

'Had a panic with the dress but went for a purple Tiffany Rose one! Doing make-up in the car now! Ha!'

Bell is six months pregnant with her first child, which is due on December 19 - shortly before their first wedding anniversary.

The couple tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in between Christmas and New Year in a snowy New York City last year.

Underwood, 35, and Bell first met in 2000 when she joined Children's BBC as a presenter.

They remained good friends, but Bell went on to marry personal trainer Stuart Amory in January 2007.

However, they split the following year and Bell soon fell in love with Underwood, who had previously confessed to having feelings for her several months before her previous marriage.

Last night, the couple joined a host of stars at the charity event, including Prince Harry, Pixie Lott, Gillian McKeith and Duncan Bannatyne.
