Older and wiser: Britney may be turning 30 but she's still got what it takes to be a cover girl

She may be knocking on 30 but pop star Britney Spears could still pass as a teenager if her latest Glamour magazine shoot is anything to go by.

The blonde singer, who has graced the cover of the glossy several times before, looked sexy, sultry and showed no signs of dressing down as she posed in lacy underwear and raunchy footwear.

Looking fresh faced and blemish free, Britney told the monthly magazine that she's looking forward to welcoming her 30s this December.

'I think the older you get, the wiser you get,' the Toxic singer said. 'I can’t wait. I’m really excited and definitely gonna celebrate and do something spectacular.

'I’m gonna be in South America so I’ll have to do something pretty fun. A carnival of Britney?'

However, the only place the U.S. singer showed signs of carnival colour was on the cover as she posed in a blue sequined and feathered Matthew Williamson dress.
Elsewhere in the photo shoot, Britney opted for a colour scheme of just black.
In one image, the star can be seen with her hands on her hips wearing a short, lacy black dress with cut-out knee-high shoes.

And in another she wears an unusual black lace bra, hot pants and a long, black fur coat.

But nevertheless the star still showed no signs of her troublesome 20s, and certainly no signs of aging.

The singer, who first became a pop sensation at the age of 17, also used the Glamour interview as an opportunity to say she ‘had no idea’ that she was once Prince William's ideal woman after it was reported the Duke of Cambridge had posters of the pop princess on his wall when he was younger.

Britney went on to say that she thinks it's ‘hilarious’ but that she would love Prince William and his wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, to attend one of her London concerts.

'That would be amazing,' she said. 'That would be really crazy and cool.

'I think they’re a beautiful couple. Unfortunately I didn’t get to watch the [royal] wedding, but I heard it was beautiful.'

The mother of two, who is kicking off her European tour this month in St. Petersburg, Russia, released her latest album, Femme Fatale, in March this year and recently won an award for the Best Pop Video at the MTV Video Music Awards.

But it's not just making music that the singer is hoping to continue doing when she turns the big Three-0h, Britney also revealed to Glamour that she'd like to give acting another go: 'I would love to do more movies and venture out into those aspects,' she said. 'It’s something I’m still hoping to do.'
