Shouldn't you be at the Rovers? Corrie star Brooke Vincent covers sick friend's shift at local pub

She's one of the richest young actresses on the telly.

But Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent isn't above pulling pints at her local bar.

The 19-year-old covered a friend's shift on Saturday night at the White Room in Whitefield, Greater Manchester, which is thought to be owned by a friend's mother.

She reportedly earned £6.08 and hour for the seven-hour stint.

It was reported today that she needed the extra money after blowing her reported £75,000 annual salary but Brooke and her management have denied this.

Brooke, who lives with her mother Nicola in Audenshaw, Manchester, has recently purchased a £23,000 Mercedes CLC 160 sports car and enjoyed several holidays in Spain and Portugal.

Her agent told the MailOnline: 'It's laughable really, considering that she has been on Coronation Street for seven years and people are trying to say that she's broke just because she went on a couple of holidays.'

Brooke launched a foul-mouthed rant on Twitter saying she had been filling in for a friend who was sick and that she helped out at the pub 'now and then'.

She apologised to her fans for swearing throughout the rant but said she was 'really annoyed'.

One fan was shocked, saying Brooke was 'proper fumin never seen a rant like that in over 2 yrs of being on here!'

Brooke added that dating Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran, 18, 'does not make me a WAG'.

A source told the Daily Mirror that Brooke started a 6pm shift on Saturday and 'worked like a Trojan until after midnight, pulling pints, cleaning glasses and waiting tables'.

'She's really popular with the other staff, and the owner knows her well, so she was only too happy to help out a friend.'

A spokesperson for Corrie confirmed to the Daily Mirror she had been paid for the work and denied she was broke.

'I can't say that she won't help them out again. That's the kind of girl she is - she always looks out for her friends.'

A patron told the paper: 'Brooke was wearing the uniform to match all the staff. It would have been easy not to notice one of the girls behind the bar was a famous TV star. She was friendly with everyone.'
