She sparked rumours she could be replacing Cheryl Cole on The X Factor earlier this year during a cryptic radio interview.
But now it has been revealed Mel B is set to be unveiled as the new judge on the Australian version of the show within the next week.
According to Sydney's Sunday Telegraph newspaper, the 35-year-old singer will replace Australian radio presenter Kyle Sandilands on the panel.

Scary Spice Mel will join 1990s star Natalie Imbruglia, Irish crooner Ronan Keating and Australian singer Guy Sebastian in the judges' hot seats.
Mel recently hinted about the move in a Twitter message to Dannii Minogue.
She tweeted: 'Hey there. Need your help with something on something.'
Mel, who lives in Los Angeles with husband Stephen Belafonte, is due to give birth to their first child together in June or July, just a few weeks before filming on the show commences.

She is also mother to Phoenix, 12, with dancer Jimmy Gulzar, and Angel, four, with Eddie Murphy.
Earlier this year, Mel hinted she may be in line to replace Cole on the judging panel of the UK show, after she let the plans slip out during a Heart FM interview.
She then quickly backtracked and said: ‘I don’t think I was meant to say that though. Oh sorry! Pregnant brain… Maybe that was a secret.’

When asked if she was being lined up to replace Cheryl Cole on the hit ITV talent show, Mel responded: ‘Maybe so.
‘Anyway… I’m in so much trouble, why did I do this interview? I don’t talk about anything unless it’s ready to go.’
In a magazine interview shortly afterwards, Mel added: 'Whoever gets an X Factor job in whatever country is really lucky – it's a great opportunity.'
