When you've got money, fame and beauty, you'd think there wouldn't be anything to be sad about.

But the Saturdays - except for Frankie Sandford - looked glum as they headed to a London studio yesterday, covering their faces and not cracking their usual bright smiles.

The girls, who are all a fan of Twitter, may have been reading the negative comments on the site about their performance at V festival at the weekend.

Vanessa White even told photographers that she doesn't like being famous, joining fellow girl band member, Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, who revealed earlier this year she didn't like the attention that comes with fame.

Rochelle Wiseman, 22, hit back at critics of the band during their set at Weston Park, Staffordshire on Saturday.

She said: 'Obviously, being a girl group we get a lot of stick and people say we can't sing live and that we mime.

'So we like to prove them wrong.'

But the comment has sparked a flurry of comments on Twitter.

One user said: 'The irony when The Saturdays say "people say we can't sing live" during their worst vocal performance to date... cringe #vfestival'

Another was more colourful, saying: 'I wanted to see the highlights of Pendulum not the f****** saturdays, they can't sing for s***.'

Rochelle had another reason for not cracking her usual bright smile yesterday - she said on Twitter she had a 'really sore throat'. And she was seen carrying a bottle of red vitamin water, in the hope it would make her better.

Mollie King had mocked her bandmate the day before saying: 'Uh ohhh I'm recording next to old big lungs @RochelleTheSats! Pipe down woman!! Xxxx'

The pretty blonde, 24, looked at the ground as she left the studio yesterday.

But she didn't let her guard down when it came to fashion, donning sky-high heels, a summery blue dress with a brown belt and aviator sunglasses.

She even brought along her beloved toy poodle Alfie, carrying him in one hand and her favorite Balenciaga bag in the other.

And a usually done-up Una Healy went for a more causal look and appeared to be making a statement with her printed vest which read 'Eh?'

The 29-year-old paired it with a pair of tight-fitting beige trousers and white flip flops.

Una yesterday shared her excitement about the band's upcoming album, which is yet to be named.
She said: 'Back in the studio today finishing up some tracks, the album is shaping up nicely :)'
She added: 'So good to hear you love our b-sides mostly written by ourselves, lots of Saturdays penned songs on this next album were so excited about!x'
Frankie, 22, brought the smiles for the group and even shared a fashion faux pas with her Twitter followers.
She said: 'Managed the whole day in white jeans and with Alfie and didn't get anything on them! Put some make up on and all went wrong! Doh!!'
She paired the trousers with a green printed shirt and brown heeled boots.
