'I think Botox is a good thing... I hate what I see in the mirror': X Factor reject Kitty Brucknell opens up on her body image

Week after week on The X Factor, Kitty Brucknell showed off her figure in a variety of skimpy outfits.

But despite her apparent body confidence, the 26-year-old insisted she is unhappy with her figure and has already undergone liposuction.

Peeling off for a photoshoot with the new issue of Heat magazine, the Cheltenham-native revealed she's struggled with her body image since she was 16.

She said: 'When I was 16, I got really stressed over my GCSEs. I got really skinny. But I took it to extremes. I was eating, like, one yoghurt a day.

'But I looked f**king amazing. That was the problem – I didn’t think that I was anorexic. The problem is, it’s not natural to be a size zero. I love food - I couldn’t do without it - so I started eating properly again.'

Former Britney Spears impersonator Brucknell starting having Botox two years ago soon after undergoing liposuction.

She explained: 'I first had it back in 2009, after I’d had lipo, and it was just the best idea ever. I’m really pleased. I was really worried that I would end up with frown lines, like my mum. I think Botox is a good thing.

'I had lipo when I was 24. I always wanted it, ever since I was, like, 16 or 17, because I hated my body.'

But despite her lipo and Botox, it appears Brucknell still isn't happy with her figure, declaring: 'I hate what I see when I look in the mirror. I want to look thinner and I don’t want my cellulite.'

Despite being voted off the show on November 13 following a sing-off with Misha Bryan, the blonde knew she was unlikely to win.

She said: 'I’m relieved. And a bit gutted. But I think in the grander scheme of things it’s OK.

'I came into the competition the most- hated contestant ever, and I don’t think I’ve left that way. It was inevitable that I would go in the sing-off, because Misha’s a better singer and more marketable.

'I’m just such a f**king weird person. I’m too weird for The X Factor.'

Brucknell revealed she and Bryan barely spoke during the X Factor show because they were too 'ambitious' and 'determined'.

The full interview with Brucknell is in the new issue of Heat magazine, on sale now.

Hugs, wine and bonding in the dressing room... could this be the start of a new friendship? Guest performer Lady Gaga comforts X Factor reject Kitty Brucknell

An army of Kitty haters will be seething with jealousy when they realise that her X Factor rejection might just have a silver lining.

The singing hopeful was booted off the programme last night after facing the bottom two with Misha B.

But guest performer Lady Gaga appears to have taken a shine to her, whisking her off to the dressing room for wine and a shoulder to cry on after the results show had ended.

The Telephone singer, 25, was performing on the ITV series in honour of last night's theme, which saw the contestants battle for survival with Gaga versus Queen songs.

Kitty had been disappointed that she couldn't pay tribute to her idol, after Kelly Rowland picked Born This Way for Misha B, leaving Brucknell to sing Don't Stop Me Now by the British rock band.

The song choice of this week had held special significance to Brucknell, 26, who spent her life impersonating Gaga and Britney Spears before she found fame X Factor.

However, her luck might have changed as Gaga immediately ran onstage after Kitty's exit, shouting 'Where's Kitty?' as she was flanked by her minders.

The girls then ended up locked in Simon Cowell's former dressing room, which Gaga had for the night, and drinking wine together.

Both singers looked more like sisters tonight with their peroxide locks and eccentric stage attire, which for Kitty was ruffled feathers and for Gaga a lace bodice, not to mention their incredible voices.

A duet between the two is yet to be confirmed.

The final six acts battling for survival on the show next week are Little Mix, comeback queen Amelia Lily, Craig Colton, Marcus Collins, Janet Devlin and Misha B.

Battle of the divas! Misha B is saved in X Factor bottom two as Kitty Brucknell is sent home, while returning reject Amelia survives

If The X Factor was judged on voice alone, they would probably be the last two standing.

But Misha B and Kitty Brucknell landed in the bottom two tonight; largely down to personalities rather than performance.

Brucknell, 26, suffered from the start of the competition, failing to 'connect' with the public and despite her unarguably incredible vocals, she was finally sent home from the competition.

Misha on the other hand, was at the heart of bullying accusations last month when Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh implied on live television that her backstage antics were intimidating.

Seemingly taking Gary Barlow's advice from last night to 'strip everything back', Kitty performed the infamous song Over the Rainbow from The Wizard Of Oz.

Talented: Misha B and Kitty had two of the strongest voices in the show, proving no one is safe

Her hairstyling was minimalist as it hung loosely over her shoulders and her wild make-up had been replaced with natural shades.

Despite finding herself singing for survival again, she received huge support from the audience who cheered her name throughout the performance with sporadic declarations of, 'I love you Kitty'.

Unsurprisngly, Misha B proved she has the vocals to rival Kitty when it was her turn to sing.

Disbelief: Amelia Lily cannot believe she has been saved after originally being voted off the show in the first week by mentor Kelly Rowland

Belting out Jessie J track Who You Are, she was also dressed entirely in black, opting for a more low-key outfit to highlight the voice rather than the gimmicks.

Louis was the first judge to cast his vote, obviously supporting his own act and saving Brucknell.

However Tulisa chose Misha, perhaps to ease the burden of the bully claims, saying: 'I think you are both amazingly talented... but I would rather buy Misha's albums.'

Nineteen-year-old Misha was also saved by mentor Kelly Rowland and Gary Barlow.

Emotional: Louis Walsh pleaded with record labels to sign Kitty

The Take That star, known for his spiteful quips, was complimentary to both girls, adding: 'Can I just say first, what an amazing sing-off.

'If you were to ask me two people who wanted this the most, it would be Misha and Kitty.

'Kitty, it's got to be the likeability factor, because you sing and perform incredibly. Misha, if I took all the acts to a record label, you would be the first to be signed. The act I'm sending home is Kitty.'

Inspiration: Lady Gaga performed on X Factor and said she gave Kitty a hug when she met her

Before the end of the show, Walsh gushed: 'She's one of the best people I've ever mentored. I want someone to sign her.'

And never one to walk away shyly, Kitty's last words were in fact a song.

As host Dermot O'Leary asked her for her final statement, she sang Lady Gaga's Born This Way: 'I'm beautiful in my way, 'cause God makes no mistakes. I'm on the right track baby, I was born this way.'

The remaining six acts fighting for survival next week are Little Mix, Craig Colton, Marcus Collins, Janet Devlin, Misha B and returning reject Amelia Lily.

And Amelia's back! After a slew of predictable performances X Factor reject puts the rest to shame with her showstopping return

It was hardly a surprise, but tonight X Factor reject Amelia Lily returned to the show following a landslide win on the public vote.

The 17-year-old took to the stage for a heartfelt rendition of Queen's The Show Must Go On.

She had confessed prior to the announcement: 'When Kelly sent me home after the first life show, it was like having my heart ripped out'

The singer won 48 per cent of the public vote, after she, James Micheal, Jonjo Kerr, and Two Shoes were given a second chance to achieve their X Factor dream.

The foursome were put forward for the public vote following Frankie Cocozza's disgraceful departure due to cocaine use.

Amelia said that the 48 hours since she had heard the news that she might come back were: 'the most stressful two days of my life, but so worth it'

She gushed after her performance: 'Oh God, I've been so emotional backstage, I cannot believe I'm back in. Thank you everybody for believing in me.'

'I've always wanted to be a star ever since I was a little girl. Performing on the first live show was the most incredible experience of my life,' she added.

'I could not believe it when I heard that there was a chance to come back into the competition.'

Louis Walsh said after her performance: 'I don't know what to say, that was an amazing powerful vocal, I think now you're going to get to show your proper talent. I want you to go far in the competition.'

Tulisa continued: 'All the other acts have had weeks to progress, and you've come in now at the same level as them.'

Usually reticent Gary Barlow was especially generous, enthusing: 'Let's just recap. 48 hours ago you get the call. You come back to the X Factor, and you give THAT performance. That was absolutely sensational. From somebody who knows, the great British public love a comeback.'

When Dermot asked Amelia how it felt to receive such positive critique she stuttered: 'It's like cuckoo land! My legs were shaking, but I'm so happy to be back.'

Kitty Brucknell opened the show with Queen's Don't Stop Me Now. The singer said of the Lady Gaga versus Queen theme: 'I think this week was made for me.'

Kitty had been devastated when Misha B designated to sing Born This Way by Kelly Rowland, but cheered up for her performance, which garnered favourable critique from the judges.

Tulisa opened with: 'That song suited you down to the ground, it was energetic, a bit camp,' while Kelly called it 'a great performance

Gary said: You've been in the bottom two, you've come back fighting. Louis does always pick good some for you, credit where credit's due. But wear less makeup next week, I feel like the less you do the more we'll feel.

And Louis added: 'Of all the people I've had to mentor, you're easily the best.'

Craig took to the stage next to perform Paparazzi by Lady Gaga. His confident if somewhat predictable performance was impressive, given he had been unable to take part in rehearsals earlier.
'I couldn't sing today, my voice completely went. I didn't rehearse on stage today, that was my first time,' he admitted after the song.
The judges gave him the thumbs up however, with Tulisa saying: 'That was your best performance ever. It's really rare, but you brought out the same emotions I felt in your first audition today.'

Little Mix performed Lady Gaga's duet with Beyonce, Telephone.
Jesy, who has been the victim of cyber-bullying over her weight had broken down during rehearsals, but there was no sign of of nerves as she belted out the hit song.
Kelly gave a mixed response, saying: 'You started off a little shaky, but got stronger as the song progressed. But you really need to tighten up those harmonies.'

Gary brought the tone down when he kicked off: 'I am a little disappointed. I feel like it's getting a little predictable, the Pop/R&B song. I think it was too obvious a song choice- maybe Tulisa is running out of ideas for you.'

But Kelly then interrupted to defend Tulisa's choice, declaring: 'they are a touch away from In Vogue,' and Tulisa added: 'I'm certainly not running out of ideas.'
Janet Devlin, who turned 17 today, admitted that she had been devestated by the negative comments on last week's show, and said that she would be stripping it back this week.
'It's all about the voice' she declared.'
She gave a soulful rendition of Queen's Somebody To Love which had Louis gushing: 'You are a recording artist, I can see you in the final now.'

Tulisa was reserved with her commentary, musing: 'It was great, but I'm starting to feel you're a little one-dimensional. I'd have to be in a certain mood to listen to your album.
Gary took the negative angle further, saying: 'I hate to say it, but I'm starting to feel a little bit bored of you. I felt like you weren't making enough of an effort up there today.'
Kelly however defended her hopeful, retorting: 'This is the Janet we fell in love week.'
Another One Bites The Dust? It doesn't look like Marcus Collins will after his energetic performance- though Tulisa felt it was a bit too similar to his previous efforts

Always-energetic Marcus Collins came out with an enthusiastic rendition of Another One Bites The Dust, complete with sharp suit and sexy backing dancers.
Louis jumped in immediately with: 'You're going to be here next week', but Tulisa was less keen, commenting that she found his performance 'predictable.'
Kelly said she'd like to see him enjoy 'more freedom' on stage.
Gary however protested that the other judges were giving 'tactical critique' and that Marcus was 'already a pop star'

Misha's performance of Born This Way got universally good critique, with Tulisa commenting her on her voice, saying it was easy to forget that she was 'one of the best vocalists in the competition.'
Even Gary didn't have a bad word to say- and commended Misha on her work ethic, saying that he'd noticed her devoting more time to researching her songs in the house than other contestants.
And Louis gave another 'classic' comparison, calling Misha a 'mini Chaka Khan.'

We're ready and waiting! As the X Factor rejects return Janet Devlin and Kitty Brucknell get the warpaint out to defend their places on the show

By Holly Thomas

The biggest twist of the series is well underway, as the X Factor rejects return to the scene of their downfall.

Amelia Lily, Two Shoes, James Michael and Jonjo Kerr were back in the Wembley studios this afternoon with preparations underway for tomorrow's show.

But by the look of things, a couple of the current contestants looks determined to retain the limelight.

Janet Devlin and Kitty Brucknell turned up at the Fountain studios wearing some very dramatic neon eye makeup.

Drawing attention: The return of the X Factor rejects has been the talk of the week, but current contestant Janet Devlin won't let them distract the audience too much

No doubt this has something to do with this week's theme- Lady Gaga vs Freddie Mercury and Queen.

Perhaps Janet has chosen to pay homage to the Bad Romance star, who will perform on Sunday's show.

The teen is clearly feeling the pressure, tweeting this afternoon: 'Really want a red bull :| just one of those days O.'

Janet, who is a bookie favourite to win, disappointed when she forgot the words to Jackson 5's I Want You Back on last week's show.

Tulisa said: 'You've got your own style, it's amazing... Maybe you should stick with what you know. You looked uncomfortable, you forgot the words.'

Gary, who is usually full of praise for the Irish teenager, said: 'I feel really weird saying this but it just wasn't right tonight. You completely lost your identity.

Kelly added: 'We all have our slip-ups.. You still got out there and had a good time.'

Ex-contestant Amelia Lily looks set to return to the show as she leads the pack as favourite to replace Frankie Cocozza.

The 16-year-old arrived at the ITV Studios for a press conference today where she admitted her return is 'bittersweet'.

Frankie, who was dismissed from the show earlier this week over allegations of drug boasts, was romantically linked with Amelia during their time on the show.

She admitted at the X Factor press conference today: 'It's bittersweet replacing Frankie.'

Amelia also said she hasn't spoken to her Cocozza since he was unceremoniously kicked off the show but added: 'I hope he's alright.'

Other finalists 2 Shoes, James Michael and Jonjo Kerr all showed up at the X Factor studios today, preparing themselves for the verdict on who is to return.

Gary Barlow's act was kicked off after allegedly boasting about taking drugs.

Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh, Kelly Rowland and head judge Gary Barlow were also present at the press conference.

One of the acts axed by the judges in the first week of live shows will now be voted back in by the public, and Amelia is the hot favourite to return.

The singer used her time back in the limelight to ask fans to give her support and help her back into the competition.

Amelia pleaded: 'Guys pleaseee vote for me to come back to X Factor n perform this Saturday! It would mean the world to me n I promise I won't let you down!

'The number to call to vote for me to get back into TXF will be announced today! Please please vote, I have got so much more to give xx'

Groups mentor Tulisa Contostavlos also showed up at the X Factor studios this afternoon to welcome back the ex-contestants.

'My six night cocaine bender': Frankie Cocozza reveals the extent of his drug use

  • Admits he was wasted on the drug for almost a week straight
  • Reveals he has slept with seven girls since being on the reality show

Former X Factor contestant Frankie Cocozza has revealed he's not a drug addict but an 'idiot' instead.

The 18-year-old hopeful has opened up about his bad behaviour that led to him being booted off the ITV reality show.

Cocozza revealed that he has taken cocaine six times and said he will regret his action for the 'rest of his life.'

But despite being asked to leave the singing competition, Cocozza was already spotted back in London yesterday heading to Holborn Studios in North London.

He emerged from the building tonight to have a cigarette and seemed particularly pleased with whatever had been going on inside as he flashed the camera a huge smile and gave a thumbs up.

Speaking to today's Sun newspaper, the big-haired wannabe explained that he felt guilty about what he'd done.

'I feel bad about letting the fans down and I'd like to apologise to the people who voted for me,' he said. 'I'm really, really sorry.'

However despite ruining his chances on the X Factor, Cocozza admitted that he couldn't guarantee that he will stay away from drugs in the future.

The hopeful - who has admitted to trying the illegal high mephedrone in the past - said: 'I can't see into the future so I can't say that I'll never do coke again.'

Cocozza, who lives with his mother in Brighton, East Sussex, also revealed that he has slept with seven females since starring on the X Factor and admitted that it was easy.

'Going out just got mental as women would just come up to me,' he admitted.

'I didn't really need to dig out the chat-up lines which I used. It was so easy.'

However the youngster's downfall was last Saturday night which he spent with blonde Becca Hills.

The 19-year-old has spoken out on the scandal.

Hills is cagey about the details of what went on inside the West London flat she was seen entering with Cocozza on Saturday night, but admits: 'Some stuff happened between us, it's a bit embarrassing to talk about.'

Cocozza was pictured topless and sitting with a female companion in the window of the flat where an after-party took place over the weekend after a night of clubbing.

But despite their liaison, Hills insists: 'I don't plan to keep in contact with him. There's no future between us.'

Speaking again to The Sun, Hills, insists: 'I never wanted him to get in trouble. He seemed a lovely guy who likes a drink.'

The teen and her friend Katherine Holland, who was also pictured at the party, say they did not witness the singer taking drugs.

Holland, 19, told the Sun: 'We didn't see him do cocaine, but it's not that we followed his every move. Drugs are for losers, we never touch them.'

Cocozza and his entourage were pictured carrying crates of beer into the flat after a night of partying at Funky Buddha nightclub.

On the X Factor results show on Sunday night, he admitted he'd only had 30 minutes sleep while some claimed he was still 'off his face' during the programme.

It later emerged that production staff overheard him boasting about his 'cocaine-fuelled sex session' on the Saturday night, and reported him to the show producers.

Less than 24 hours later, it was announced that he was leaving the show.

In a separate report, it has been alleged that Cocozza funded his wild partying with money paid into his account by FremantleMedia, who produce the X Factor.

The company is said to have paid each other contestants a 'discretionary payment' of £3,000 following their work on the M&S Christmas advertisement, the Mirror reports.

Marks & Spencer, which has a sponsorship deal with the series, did not pay the contestants for the 'When You Wish Upon a Star' ad campaign.

'Frankie is a normal 18-year-old,' a source told the paper. 'He got the money and it was burning a hole in his pocket. He couldn’t wait to blow it on partying.'

Cocozza was still spending up a storm on Wednesday after returning to his home in Brighton.

The wild child went shopping at shoe store Vans, where he was spotted handing over a wad of cash for a pair of trainers, and also stocked up at All Saints.

A spokesperson for FremantleMedia was unavailable for comment.

A few weeks ago she thought her chances of winning the X Factor were over after she was voted off the talent show.

However, today Amelia Lily looked set to return to the show as she leads the pack as favourite to replace Frankie Cocozza.

The 16-year-old arrived at the ITV Studios for a press conference today where she admitted her return is 'bittersweet'.

Amelia wore a punk-inspired outfit consisting of patterned leggings, a blazer jacket with the sleeves rolled to her elbows, a black vest top and black boots.

She completed her rebellious look with pink hair and and a spiked choker around her neck.

Other finalists 2 Shoes, James Michael and Jonjo Kerr are all being given a second chance after Gary Barlow's act was kicked off after allegedly boasting about taking drugs.
