I know I promised no more wedding stories…but how can you not talk about the perfume a princess wears on her wedding day? While most of us were having heart palpitations over what dress Kate Middleton would wear, the perfume industry was dying to know what fragrance she chose on the day she became a princess.
With this announcement yesterday, Princess Catherine just made this company a lot of pounds.
According to Clarence House, Prince William’s bride was wearing White Gardenia Petals by Illuminum, a little-known British brand.
And now the brand is set to go stellar as shoppers vie to buy their own bottle of Kate’s favourite scent. Every one of the 50ml bottles in stock was sold within moments of the news breaking, and a two week waiting list has formed.
A description on the company website describes the £70 scent as ‘fragrant as a vase of white flowers quivering in the breeze by an open window, this is a delicate and nuanced scent
Michelle Obama is also a fan of this light perfume. Although there is no way in hell an every day girl is going to be able to get her hands on this scent right now…never fear. Sephora is surely working on getting this in stock as we speak.
