She's a big fan of Chanel after praising them for taking a chance on her when she was an unknown actress.

So it was no surprise to see Freida Pinto come out in support of the French fashion house, especially for a collection close to her heart.

The actress looked sensational in a shiny blue chiffon dress, by Chanel of course, which she teamed with Roger Vivier peep-toed shoe boots.

The 27-year-old Slumdog Millionaire star, was attending the Paris-Bombay show which was held at the Grand Palais in Paris last night.

The Métiers D'Arts show showed off Chanel's autumn designs, an infusion of Bombay and Paris inspired clothes with a mix of fabrics, rich brocades and saris with the house's signature tweed jackets, black classic looks and pearls.

Freida was joined by fellow Indian actress Sonam Kapoor, 26, and singer-songwriter Cat Power, 39.

Freida, who lives in Los Angeles, was born in Bombay, now known as Mumbai, so wouldn't have missed the chance to see her hometown meet the Paris catwalk.

And she always supports the fashion label because they 'believed' in her when she was trying to make a name for herself in the film industry.

This summer, she gushed about Chanel and said they were the only company to lend her clothes for red carpet events when she first started out.

She said: 'I tell you why I like Chanel so much; when I started off, no one wanted to give me clothes to wear. Absolutely no one. All the labels said, "Who is she?"

'Chanel believed in me from the very beginning. For the very first red carpet I did at the Toronto Film Festival in 2008, they dressed me up in their very current season collection.

'It's a massive brand, why would they invest in someone who is nobody.'

Freida, who starred in this summer's blockbuster The Rise of the Planet of the Apes, has also made friends with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, who was at the show.

She said of the German designer: 'I always have a good time with Karl because he's so appreciative and wants me to try different things.

In the film she plays a priestess from Greek mythology.
And that appears to be exactly what Freida Pinto was channeling when she attended the premiere for Immortals last night.
The stunning actress, 27, shone on the red carpet in a cream Antonio Berardi dress.

The dress sported tunic-style shoulder pads and embroided detailing at the front.

The warrior-goddess look was complete with a metallic panel at the front which covered her flat stomach.


The number had a slight fishtail skirt with a large train trailing behind her.

Letting the dress speak for itself, Freida added only a simple diamond bracelet to the ensemble and wore minimal makeup.

Her time to shine: The Antonio Berardi dress had gorgeous detailing at the front and tunic-style shoulders, seeing her channel a warrior goddess

Her black hair was styled into a french plait on one side and pulled off her face into a loose bun.

Freida joined the movie's star-studded cast at the Nokia Centre in LA.

In the film, Freida's character Phaedra joins Henry Cavill's Theseus, who battles to save humanity after Titan Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) declares war.

Also in the movie is Twilight star Kellan Lutz, Australian actress Isabel Lucas and Welshman Luke Evans.

Isabel shone on the red carpet in another cream dress with brown straps.

Indian-born Freida is has been dating London-born actor Dev Patel, 21, since they appeared in the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire in 2008.

Rumours were rife the couple were moving in together when Dev was spotted carrying a box into a $1.5million apartment in Santa Monica as Freida walked beside him.

But her publicist says she was just helping him set up at the apartment his production team put him up in while he films his HBO mini series — Aaron Sorkin’s More as the Story Develops.

'Freida, happened to be in the same city, promoting her upcoming film Immortals and shooting for the Ellen DeGenres Show,' said the statement.

'She only helped Dev with his stuff for the tenure of his shoot. Dev and Freida have not moved in together. Dev’s base is still very much London, like Freida’s is Mumbai.

'They both travel based on their work requirements, and do not have homes, rented or owned anywhere else other than their original base. Anything contrary to this, is completely untrue and incorrect.'

Their blossoming romance was just one of the reasons Slumdog Millionaire became such a phenomena after they fell in love onscreen.

But Dev Patel and Freida Pinto didn't exactly look like they were enjoying each other's company last night.

The two stars attended West End show Crazy For You, but their body language seemed distant and cold.

Even when they did hold hands, there wasn't a hint of a smile that broke on either of their faces.

At one point, the Skins actor kept his hands so firmly in the pockets of his leather jacket it looked like they were glued in.

It's not as though Freida doesn't have cause for celebration, the 27-year-old had just signed a $7million contract with a high fashion brand.

Her agent said: 'It's a policy never to comment on brand deals.

'Brand Freida stands for very rare, unique and irreplaceable values and imagery, making her the ideal choice for a brand with a global appeal and an Indian focus.'

The couple met and fell in love on the set of Danny Boyle's film in 2008.

It later emerged that Freida had been hiding a secret husband whom she ditched after the movie became a global hit.

She married Rohan Antao at a ceremony in Goa in December 2007, but dumped him for English co-star Patel - who is six years her junior.

It was claimed Mr Antao, a Mumbai-based executive, supported his wife during filming but 'she just stopped calling him' when she found success.

In August, she gushed to InStyle magazine that Dev understands her better than her family.

She also unveiled her insecurities, saying she hates talking on Skype.

Freida said: 'We use it (Skype) a lot - and we hate it as well!

'It’s like a tease. I also feel it’s this pressure, "Oh my God, he’s seeing me after two weeks, I hope my hair is okay."

'It’s just hideous. I think even the most beautiful person looks stupid on Skype.'

And that wisdom apparently paid off for the 42-year-old actress last night at the Elle Annual Women in Hollywood event, where she managed to outfox her fellow Thespian friend.

Aniston was streaks ahead as she stepped out to the Beverly Hills soiree in a daringly short, low-cut silver dress.

As a result it was the Friends star who came off looking more youthful than 35-year-old Reese, who played it somewhat demure in a Navy blue trouser suit.
Jen, who is among the honourees at the 18th annual gala, posed for photographs with Reese - who played Rachel Green's sister Jill in two episodes of Friends 11 years ago - backstage.
The pair cosied up and put on their best smiles as they chatted amid a frenzy of flashbulbs.

Katherine Heigl proved she does still have it in her to look glamorous, and stepped out of her customary matronly attire in favour of a pretty LBD which put her amble cleavage on show.
Michelle Pfeiffer defied her age, with the 53-year-old looking breathtaking in a belted black dress with a plunging v-shaped neckline.
Other celebs who put their back into the style effort included Camila Alves, who wore a polka-dot blue number and Amber Heard, who was pretty in pink, teamed with a slick of blood-red lipstick.
