Fans of X Factor contestant Misha B were left fuming last night when the new Marks & Spencer advert was unveiled - showing newly reinstated contestant Amelia Lily taking over Misha's part at the end of the commercial.
Devotees of the show have taken to Twitter to slate the move, insisting the edit is 'subliminal messaging' to fix the 17-year-old as the winner of the contest.
And as the advert hit screens for the first time it has also emerged show bosses are also planning to screen a sob story surrounding the teenager on Saturday night's live show in a bid to keep her in the singing contest.
Fans of The X Factor are fuming after Amelia Lily replaced Misha B at the end of the M&S Christmas advert
Amelia was only voted back in to the show two weeks ago in the wake of the controversy surrounding bad boy Frankie Cocozza, who exited the programme prematurely.
But her return has already been met with a string of controversy.
Judge Gary Barlow branded the singer's performances 'desperate' and 'out of control' after she was saved from leaving last Sunday's show down against his act Craig Colton.
And now X Factor bosses face claims they're trying to fix the show so Kelly Rowland's act Amelia walks away with the winner's title.
All 16 finalists recorded a cover version of Wish Upon a Star for the M&S Christmas advert, and it has up until now starred Misha B's vocals at the end of the clip - causing viewers to originally speculate over whether Misha B had already been fixed as the winner.

The advert has already been changed several times, with Frankie being removed from the promo altogether.
But viewers were left shocked when a new version was screened on Friday, showing the pink-haired youngster taking over the finale of the ad.
Scores of fans took to Twitter to slam the change, with one user tweeting: 'What you playing at? You trying to give subliminal messages? FIX FIX FIX.'
Calm: The teenager ignored the controversy ahead of the quarter finals as she stepped out on Friday morning
Another user wrote on the social networking site: 'Oooh. Trying to predict the winner are we, X Factor?'
Amelia was placed in the bottom two in last Sunday's show and narrowly kept her place on the programme when the judges took the decision to deadlock and Craig was sent packing.
But now she has been given the boost by the M&S advert it looks like all the stops are being made to ensure the same doesn't happen again in this weekend's quarter final.
A spokesperson for the chain insists they chose to make the switch as they change the advert according to which contestants remain on the show.
The representative said: 'X Factor contestants come and go every single week. The ad is constantly changing to reflect the show.'
But it's not just the advert which is set to help Amelia win over fans and votes.
Producers are reportedly planning to air a 'sob story' detailing the teenager's struggle with diabetes this weekend.
Replaced: Misha B has been replaced by Amelia Lily on the advert
They're planning to reveal how she could go blind every time she steps on to the X Factor stage and detail how she has to take four injections a day to regulate her insulin levels.
The effects of an emotional back story being shown were demonstrated on last week's show when footage showed rival act Misha B crying as she talked about her birth mother.
Rival acts Little Mix, Janet Devlin and Little Mix are reportedly fuming over the move as they claim it will give Amelia an unfair advantage.
Misha was favourite to be axed from the line-up but didn't even feature in the bottom two after the footage aired.
Tears: Misha B's 'sob story' played on last week's X Factor is thought to have helped her win votes
Complaints: X Factor bosses are accused of playing up Misha's sob story as it looks like they're set to do the same for Amelia
An insider tells the Daily Star: 'She scraped through thanks to her sob story. Now they are worried the same will happen with Amelia.'
And Gary Barlow is pulling out all the stops to ensure his act Marcus stays in, insisting Amelia should have been given the boot last week in place of Craig.
Appearing on Loose Women on Friday, the Take That star said: 'Her performance was very out of control.
'When the pressure is on, you really see what someone's about and for me Craig stole that performance. She seemed to be very desperate.'
An X Factor spokesperson is yet to respond to Mail Online's request for comment.
