A Strictly Come Dancing star has revealed how she employs a ‘boob test’ to ensure her skimpy costumes stay in place during her energetic routines.
Chelsee Healey suffered an embarrassing ‘wardrobe malfunction’ when a strap snapped during a tango last month and left her holding up her top to avoid exposing her cleavage.
The 23-year-old actress, who had breast implants four years ago, has now taken special measures to make sure she doesn’t face the same misfortune again by asking the programme’s wardrobe department to strengthen her costumes. And she deploys the ‘boob test’ before she performs to make sure everything remains where it is supposed to be.
Playing safe: Chelsee Healey has had he costumes specially strengthened following her embarrassing wardrobe malfunction
Miss Healey said: ‘The wardrobe department always make sure that my boobs are comfortable in whatever I wear now.
‘My main priority is that they don’t fall out, so whenever I try on a new costume we do the boob test. I do a little shake in front of my dance partner Pasha just to make sure everything stays in place.
‘Obviously after what happened last time I’m a lot more nervous, and all I ever say to the wardrobe girls is, “Please just make sure they don’t fall out.”
‘Apart from what happened they’ve not been getting in the way as I don’t even realise they’re there.’
The Waterloo Road actress, whose breast implants increased her bust from a 32C to a 32DD, went on to claim she regrets having surgery and wouldn’t recommend it to other young women.
Despite her comments, Miss Healey is pictured on the website of cosmetic surgery company Mills Medical boasting about her implants, which she had inserted in Marbella, Spain.
The star is not shy from showing her cleaveage, but almost revealed a little too much when her strap gave away during last month's tango
But she said: ‘I’ve had them for so long that I don’t even think about them.
‘I was only 19 when I had them done, and to be honest if I was making the decision now I wouldn’t do it.
‘But I’ve got them and I’ve just got to get on with it.’
Miss Healey, who has become one of the favourites to win the series when it ends next month, also revealed how her success on the BBC series has been tinged by the tragedy of the death of her father, Bryan.
‘I had a really lovely childhood, but my dad died when I was eight,’ she said. ‘I try not to think about it too much because if I do it gets me down.
‘But I am very close to my mum and I have a lovely stepfather who has been like a father to me.’
