Laura beat 3000 hopefuls and impressed judges Trevor Nelson, Emma Griffiths and Alesha Dixon to earn herself the much coveted MTV News Presenter contract in 2008.
Before her whirlwind year, Laura grew up in Bray Co. Wicklow just south of Dublin, Ireland.
She studied Journalism for four years at Dublin City University as well as completing a semester abroad at Boston University in the States.
After making an impact on MTV with her application via myspace in December 2007, she was hauled over to London where she really got to prove her mettle - on the red carpet with stars such as Matt Damon and Jonathan Ross!
In May 2008, she left Ireland for the big bright lights of London and has been presenting MTV News since. She has also hosted MTV special shows from The Brits, Ibiza Rocks, MTV VMA's and MTV Movie Awards.
In 2010 Laura co hosted with Alex Zane the Teenage Cancer Trust concerts for ITV2 as well as ITV2's Arthur's Day coverage with Patrick Kielty and Colin Murray.
She also interviewed Jon Bon Jovi for American TV show 'Extra' fronted by Mario Lopez
She has hosted Vogue.com's Scottish Fashion Awards for the last two years.
She is a spokeswoman for the Because I Am a Girl, a campaign with Plan UK and Ireland
In August 2009 Laura has her own clothing range available at AWear in Ireland
In 2010 Laura became the face of RoC's new Hydra range
In 2011 she became Ambassador of ISPCC and joined Saoirse Ronan, Louis Walsh, Jedward and Mark from Westlife to front a national anti -Bullying campaign www.ispcc.ie
Laura has been announced as the new host of , 'I'm a Celebrity get me out of here... Now!' on ITV2.
