Sugababes singer Heidi Range's training for Dancing On Ice has hit a stumbling block after her professional partner Sylvain Longchambon was injured.
The French skater, 30, has been forced to pull out of the ITV reality show after he tore a tendon on his right bicep.
Longchambon had been in training with Range ahead of the new series of Dancing On Ice, which starts on January 8.
Recovering: French figure skater Sylvain Longchambon is recovering from a tendon tear in his bicep
But as he recovers from his recent surgery, Range, 28, has now been teamed with another professional.
The disruption to her preparation comes a few weeks after she announced she had called off her engagement from Capital FM DJ Dave Berry.
However, ITV bosses hope that Longchambon will recover in time to rejoin Range later in the series.
Longchambon, who lives with Hollyoaks actress girlfriend Jennifer Metcalfe, has been assuring fans his recovery is going well on his Twitter page.
Love split: Heidi Range has recently split from her fiancé Dave Berry after eight years together
He wrote this week: 'Thank you everyone for your support, the operation went well, wish u all a very nice Christmas!!!
'Not too painful yet thanks to morphine, hope it stays like this :-/.'
Dancing On Ice mentor Christopher Dean urged Longchambon to listen to his doctor's advice.
Longchambon replied: 'Thank you Chris, surgery went well and yes I will listen to Dr ;-) I hope you have a lovely Christmas, see u soon!!'
Chemistry: Longchambon and real-life girlfriend Jennifer Metcalfe on the show earlier this year
But as Range isn't allowed to confirm her partnership until ITV officially reveal the contestants and their professional partners, she hasn't been able to comment on Longchambon's health.
Longchambon joined Dancing On Ice earlier this year and ended up falling for his celebrity partner Metcalfe.
The new Dancing On Ice series sees last year's judges Emma Bunton and Jason Gardiner leaving the panel and will be replaced by Katarina Witt and Louie Spence.
Robin Cousins will remain as head judge, while Christine Bleakley will join Phillip Schofield as co-host.
