They were criticised for being too risque for family television during their stint on Britain's Got Talent, but dance troupe Girls Roc may find a more receptive audience in the readers of Zoo magazine.

The group, who raised eyebrows with their sizzling routines during the competition, have stripped off for a sexy photoshoot.

Lucy, Nicola, Hannah, Kelly, Georgina and Danielle pose in revealing black lingerie, fishnet stockings and heels, making the most of their time in the limelight after making it as far as the semi-finals on the ITV show.

The group believe their sex appeal and confidence held them back in the competition.

Group leader Nicola Wells tells the magazine: 'People love a sob story and we aren’t that. We are sexy and confident. In America, we’d have sailed through.'

Girls Roc received some backlash when they first appeared at the Manchester auditions. the girls performed in skimpy leotards for their act, in which they performed fire-breathing stunts and gyrated with pythons.

The act, to Rihanna's Only Girl In The World won the approval of The Hoff at the auditions, who said: 'So Girls Roc, you come out here, you look wow, you’re really gorgeous, you’re really pretty, totally confident in what you do and you’ve got a beautiful act.'

Michael McIntyre wasn't so sure that they were appropriate for the Queen though. He said: 'It’s all very sexy, and I’m still getting over that blowing out the thing bit, with the... oh my goodness.

'See that’s the problem I have,' he added. 'See maybe it’s a little bit too, just a bit too...'

Nicole told Zoo: 'I prefer The Hoff to Michael McIntyre. I love that he loves women and he’s proud of it. I’m not such a fan of Michael. He’s witty but needs to take the stick out of his bum! He’s a bit of a prude.”

‘Snake girl’, Georgina Leahy, 23, said: 'I guess I’m known as the snake girl. I got a funny tweet the other day that read: “Who’s the girl that deep throats the snake?”

'I did it in the first audition but they didn’t screen it. But the first time I put him in my mouth; it was him who jumped in. He seemed to enjoy it, though. His tongue tickles the back of my throat!'

The full feature appears in this week’s ZOO Magazine, on sale now (Tuesday).
