It's a family programme, but the innuendos onstage had even straight-faced judge Gary Barlow blushing and giggling tonight.
Camp contestant Johnny Robinson made a move on Barlow after his rendition of Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Out of My Head.
Gary panned the Japanese-themed performance, telling the 45-year-old singer it had made him 'sad' that mentor Louis Walsh had turned him into a laughing stock.
'You're the genie in my bottle': Johnny Robinson had the panel in stitches tonight as he made a move on judge Gary Barlow
Red face: Gary blushed after being told he could 'rub Johnny's lamp anytime'
Johnny performed the hit dance number dressed in a kimono surrounded by dancers styled as Geisha girls.
'In all seriousness, I am actually quite sad because I don’t want to laugh at you Johnny,' the Take That star said. 'I don’t want you to be the joke in this competition, I want people to take you seriously because you can actually sing.
'“Louis did you just really tell Frankie he has no swagger and then do this to Johnny? I mean look at him, he looks like he’s in Aladdin.'
Giggles: Despite the crude innuendo the usually straight-faced judge couldn't stop laughing
Are you watching Kylie? Johnny's shrugged off Gary and co's scathing comments about his rendition of Can't Get You Out of My Head
To which Johnny replied: 'Gary, can rub my lamp anytime!'
As the panel and audience exploded in laughter, the cheeky contestant added: ‘You’re the genie in my bottle.’
On a more serious note, the rest of the judging panel were also concerned that Louis is turning Johnny into a joke contestant, hiding his true talent.
'You do it for me every time,' Tulisa said. 'You definitely have the entertainment factor, only one criticism tonight and it’s not for you it’s for Louis: I just want to say that as much as he is entertaining – and we know this – I would love to see the vocal shine through.
Let his talent shine: The judges love Johnny but are concerned that mentor Louis isn't allowing the audience to see his talent
'I would love you to give him a song that shows he really can sing. You’re not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but for now you are mine.'
Kelly was at a loss for words, and struggled to offer any constructive criticism. 'Oh Johnny. I don’t know…' she said.
'Just move to Gary man because I’m still in shock. I need to hear you sing Johnny, I don’t want you to hide behind Kylie. We all know she is wonderful and she has great songs but I want to hear your voice.'
Louis was defiant about his song choice. He told Johnny: 'I’m really glad that I saved you last week because you are bringing fun. Gary Barlow is laughing, that’s a first. You bring fun to the competition, I know you can sing, but it’s all round entertainment guys.'
