She had always said she would have a ‘spontaneous’ wedding - that is, if she got married at all.
But today, in front of just 16 friends and family, TV beauty Myleene Klass married her long-term love Graham Quinn.
The couple have two young daughters, Ava, four, and seven-month-old baby Hero, both of whom were bridesmaids.
Happy couple: Myleene Klass and Graham Quinn married in a secret ceremony with just 16 guests
Revealing the news: Myleene told her 150,000 Twitter followers that she tied the knot today
Miss Klass wore a gown by celebrity stylist and designer Kate Halfpenny during the ceremony near her family home in Norwich and then announced the surprise news by sending out a delighted tweet that read: 'Just Married!!! X'
A simple statement later said: 'Myleene and Gray had a private intimate wedding in Norwich today. Only 16 close family and friends were invited.
'The couple did not want a big lavish affair, they just wanted to be married and enjoy the day with their nearest and dearest.'
Klass and Quinn, who she affectionally calls Gray, first met when he was security guard for her former pop band Hear’Say in 2001.
Official statement: Myleene's PR company Hackford Jones confirmed the exciting news
But within two years, their relationship was knocked when it emerged that he was technically on the run from the authorities in his native Ireland after jumping bail following an arrest for possession of heroin at the age of 17.
The pair split for a few weeks but got back together, with Klass saying people should not be judged on their past, but on how they act now.
With her support, Quinn turned himself in and was given a fine and a suspended prison sentence.
Since then, he has become a patron of the charity Drugsline, visiting schools to talk to children about the dangers of drugs.
The couple became engaged in December 2005, but the birth of Ava in 2008 caused them to postpone their wedding.
However, last year, Myleene admitted that a spate of revelations about celebrities' infidelity, such as those involving Ashley Cole, John Terry and Take That's Mark Owen, had forced her re-evaluate their relationship and put the wedding on hold.
In a characteristically frank admission, she revealed that both are often propositioned by the opposite sex.

'You do wonder if it could happen to you,' she said.
'I get offers and I'm not so blind as to think Gray doesn't - he's a catch.'
She added: 'My mum keeps asking me when I'm going to get married, but I don't think it's going to happen anymore!
'When I look at all the celeb couples splitting up, I think it's time to return to the basics.
'It's much more important to just love and respect each other than have a ring on your finger.'
Miss Klass called Quinn the love of her life, but admitted: 'Look at all these break-ups and cheating at the moment. I value what I have and I'm not going to worry about complicating things at the moment.'
She also said she had been affected by her sister Jessie’s divorce and even threatened in one interview to hang her fiancé if he ever cheated on her.
Even though she said she had never been tempted, but revealed how she had been propositioned Indecent Proposal-style, by a top Hollywood producer.
Despite going through a tumultuous period following Ava’s birth when Miss Klass struggled with post-natal depression, she called Quinn her 'best friend', and said: 'He knows me inside out and he still loves me, so that's got to be a bonus, right?'
