Steady in wet conditions: Jenson Button takes Jessica Michibata snorkelling during Hawaiian beach break

He won his 200th race during the Hungarian Grand Prix this month, so Jenson Button decided to celebrate by whisking his girlfriend away to Hawaii.

Button and model Jessica Michibata flew down to the island paradise last week and were yesterday spotted snorkelling in the Pacific Ocean.

The Formula One star, 31, tweeted after flying in: ‘A wee bit of jet lag this morning here in Hawai’i but who cares when you have a view of the beautiful coastline and it’s 30 degrees!’

Water sports: The couple went snorkelling in the Pacific Ocean in-between lying on the sand and sunbathing

And today he followed it up with: ‘Beautiful view! @jessybondgirl: At one of my favourite beach!’

When the pair weren’t cooling off in the ocean, they sunbathed on the honey-hued sands and looked every bit in love.

Jessica looked stunning in her black and white polka dot bikini, which is no surprise considering her profession.

The 26-year-old models for Japan’s equivalent of Victoria’s Secret – lingerie brand Peach John.

And is also a successful fashion model in Japan, as well as appearing in multiple Japanese television shows.

After a long day in the sunshine, Jessica threw on a little white tie-dyed dress and sunglasses to head back to their hotel.

At the beginning of August Button won the Hungarian Grand Prix and celebrated with his girlfriend and teammate Lewis Hamilton.

After his win, he wrote on his Twitter page: ‘Woohoo! I think that win deserves a little celebration! What do u think!?

‘Big love to the whole of #TeamButton for all there support. #winners.

‘My fans rock!! Thanks for all your lovely congrats messages. Enjoy the summer break and we’ll come back and do the same at Spa!’

Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton ended up in fourth place, but had won the German Grand Prix the previous weekend.
