EastEnders exclusive: new star Nina Toussaint-White confesses to wild past of drugs and violence
EastEnders has been rocked by new star Nina Toussaint-White confessing to a wild past of drugs and violence.
Millions of soap fans watched Nina, 23, crash into Albert Square a week ago as the feisty new love interest of Bradley Branning The actress has apparently admitted on a website she is a "nutter" who likes boozing, smokes pot and has beaten people up.
EastEnders bosses were said to be stunned after hearing this of Nina, who plays straight-talking Syd Chambers in the BBC1 soap.
On her MySpace page she described herself as "Nina the nutter" and declared: "I'm a loud South Londoner who's always up for a good time."
The actress, who has appeared in Casualty and Primevil, answered yes to questions on using pot and if she had ever beaten someone up.
Asked if she drinks, Nina wrote: "Oh Yeah!" And asked if she has ever been drunk, she put: "Of course," saying her favourite booze was vodka and apple juice.
She admitted: "I swear way too much," and listed her interests as: "Acting, keeping fit, eating and most importantly getting w**kered."
An insider at the soap said: "Producers at EastEnders were shocked when they found out about the website. They had no idea she had written all this about herself. They had words with her about it."
Nina's agent pointed out: "She has not used this internet site for over a year.
Nina was immature and naive when she created her profile and she has grown up a lot since she last used the site and is focused on making a success of her career."
EastEnders said: "This is a private matter for Nina."
