It's a girl! Jessica Alba gives birth to second daughter... and calls her Haven Warren

Actress Jessica Alba has announced the birth of her second daughter with movie producer husband Cash Warren.

The new addition, named Haven Garner Warren, joins three-year-old daughter, Honor Marie.

The 30-year-old, who shot to fame on the TV show Dark Angel, announced the news on her Facebook page.

'Hi Everyone, Hope you're enjoying the weekend. Cash and I are so excited to announce the birth of our daughter, Haven Garner Warren,' Alba wrote.

'She was born on Saturday, weighed 7lbs [3.2kg], and was 19 inches [48cm] long. Healthy and happy! Big Sister Honor couldn't be more excited about the new addition to our family.

'Thank you for all of your support during my pregnancy. It means the world to me.'

Alba, who also announced her pregnancy via Facebook, told Us Weekly last month that Honor was 'as excited as a kid can be [about becoming a big sister], even though she doesn't really know what it means just yet.'

Alba carried on working and enjoying trips out right up until Haven's birth.

The Machete star was spotted on Thursday afternoon getting some retail therapy with her mum, Catherine, in Beverley Hills, California.

Jessica, who was wearing a hooded grey tracksuit and black maternity top, had bought a tall lamp and a floral lampshade.

Whilst Catherine carried the heavier item, Jessica held the lampshade and powered ahead of her mother to their car.
It is thought that the furnishing will be put in a newly decorated bedroom for the stars second child with husband Cash Warren.

It had been a busy week for Jessica as she has been doing a lot of promotion for her new movie Spy Kids: All The Time In The World 4D.
In a recent post for ivillage Celebrity Blog, Jessica wrote about how her first born daughter, Honor, is feeling about having a little sister.
She said: 'I think Honor is excited about becoming a big sister. She's getting into this stage now where she gets to do big kid stuff -- and we try to make a big deal out of these little things.'

She went on to say: 'The idea of loving someone as much as I love Honor is something I haven't wrapped my head around yet. But I know I will and I can't wait.'
